Just as crazy as it seems, this sounds like a great fight! Thoughts?
I saw a clip on worldstarr about this. I thought it was a joke. They said may would get a guarantee of 144 million with Connor getting 10 million. If it happens I'll still think its a joke. It's making a side show out of boxing. It just as bad as rjj fighting a fan IMO
Only because Fedor would have beaten the dog sh1t out of Lesner
Yes Fedor would have beaten him, but Dana White really really tried to sign Fedor no bones about it. How would it not have helped to have Fedor at the time the greatest MMA fighter maybe ever under his banner.
The list of concession he was willing to make for Fedor was silly, but Fedor wanted co-promotion and it's something they would never do. The UFC is tied to that, the majority of people who watch UFC don't even realise that MMA and UFC are two separate things and that the UFC is just a promotion.
If it's a boxing match who would pay to see such a mismatch? McGregor is good with his fists for an mma guy but any good pro welterweight would absolutely slaughter him in a boxing match. In an mma fight he might beat Mayweather but in a boxing match he would be like a fish on dry land. He wouldn't have a chance in hell and any fan would know this and not pay to see it.
No, what if Mikey Garcia retired could he sign with another promoter because he 'retired'? Doesn't work like that.
UFC don't co promote, it was the stickler with them signing Fedor. They refuse to co-promote not even when they wanted to set up Lesnar-Fedor.

16 yr old Amatuer from the Mayweather gym, Devin Haney would beat the living sh1t out of Mcgregor in a boxing match.
Floyd? Ha!
Its incomparable
facts^^^^^^ but he is 17 now..lol
Isn't his contract void if he "retires"? Also, couldn't the UFC co-promote this circus with Mayweather Promotions?

It's not void. UFC contracts are a mother****er and he might be locked in for a few years. Probably couldn't fight until 2019 at the earliest
I guess they could copromote a circus like that but it would never happen. Its such a stupid idea. Its like Floyd trying to compete in a Olympic wrestling match.
Conor is still contracted to UFC, which is a promotion. Mercer tried his hand at MMA under a different promotion and was succesfully sued by Don King I think because King was his promoter. He won't be able to do it unless Floyd fights in the octagon. Never gonna happen.
Also whoever wrote the article doesn't seem to realise Mcgregor fought at 145 last year.

UFC President Dana White told the Los Angeles Times on Friday that the question about McGregor-Mayweather was the first he had heard of it.
"McGregor-Mayweather? No," White said.
"It'd be very hard to pull off. I've heard Floyd is on a worldwide vacation on Mayweather Air spending millions in every country he visits."
And when asked if McGregor could fight outside the UFC in a boxing match of his choosing, White said, "Never.
"We're his promoter. We'd have to make the fight."
White said McGregor has never even raised the idea to him about any interest in boxing Mayweather.
White called the Sun report "completely fiction, this is like bottom-feeder ... stuff."
