...Then he'd be the perfect person for Floyd's 50th opponent.
1. He's boxing's #1 attraction at the moment.
2. His next fight will be his 50th, just like Mayweather's.
3. He would be undefeated (let's just assume whoever he would have fought instead of Mayweather a few years ago would have fallen to him as well) just like Floyd, too.
Two undefeated fighters, both the biggest attractions in the sport (with Manny Pacquiao now officially "retired") walking into their 50th fight with now 100 fights between them, both looking to cement their place in history. As it is, they could still market a match between them around the same things with the exception of Alvarez being undefeated, but they could harp on the fact that Floyd is his only loss and that he's grown as a fighter since then and wants to finally avenge the loss. However, I don't know if that would be enough to stir up enough interest in a rematch.
Larry I think your brain just shrunk to a pebble of sand what do you think the 750 ml of Saline was used for to rehydrate a guy who you clowns always say weighs 150 walking around weight. I can't reason with ignorance which your full of
NSAC said it was perfectly legal..there is no rule against it..HE WAS TESTED BEFORE AND AFTER JUST LIKE MANNY RIGHT???
Steroid??? show me a link to him doing steroids...and 155 is a catchweight just like 155 is..stop these damn excuses

If Floyd hadn't already beaten Alvarez, all the clowns on this site would be claiming that Floyd retired to avoid a fight with Alvarez and they would be creating 50 threads a day claiming that Alvarez would KO Floyd.
/thread...
Larry I know you have a pea brain but what don't you understand about steroid cheating and no one is drained at 155 if it was GGG and he lost than you have an argument

Yes but we're talking about Floyd here Catch weight to drain and the use of steroids. Khan nor Canelo will not be weight drained.

With that being said, the fight probably would've been BIGGER if they waited and let it build up that way but GBP was in a rush to make Canelo a star overnight. Him losing to Mayweather I think actually did hurt him a little with the Casual American Fans which he hasn't captured the attention of yet. GGG is getting more attention from Casual Americans than Canelo is right now

they rushed that fight by at least 2 or 3 years, but cant blame showtime, they really need it back then... it should have been pac back then, and canelo as his last fight (50)...
Mayweather didn’t do much to beat Canelo other than jab, move and throw occasional right hands and left hooks.
It was all single shots from Mayweather when he did throw power shots.
Isnt 155 a catchweight as well man

In the hypothetical world where he had not fought Alvarez, it would probably have been fair to say that he ain't want that work though. Not sure what the point of your post is.
