I been saying this for a while that GGG is not a one punch guy, he is a heavy handed guy with slow punches that breaks you down. But he doesn't have that shocking KO power that leaves guys with that what just hit me face? I think Peter Quillin hits harder, its just GGG has a granite chin and great at keeping distance and doesnt waste shots.
Curtis Stevens who fought Golovkin and sparred Canelo even said that GGG isn't a hard puncher and Canelo hits much harder.
David Lemiuex who fought GGG said that GGG isn't really a hard puncher and that he hits harder than him.

I believe it, because he breaks guys down with smart pressure and doesn't let them breath, he is a slow methodical but very intelligent pressure fighter, he doesn't smother you like the traditional Maidanas, and other pressure fighters who have to get in real close.
He doesn't have that one hitter quitter power, but he isn't a pillow puncher he just breaks guys down with pressure and punches solid shots but finishes you off after he fatigues you like most pressure fighters, but the reason people think he is a dominating power puncher is because he lands CLEAN shots.
He doesn't waste punches which makes him similar to Julio Cesar chavez, Chavez was also a very methodical slow but intelligent pressure fighter he didn't waste punches and broke you down from mid range with body head combos.
lets just put it this way P4P in terms of power he is in the top 5... if that isn't considered one punch KO power then i don't know what is. Keep in mind he doesn't throw haymakers, just point me to one video where he put all his power into a shot and was off balance (cause that is 100% power)
Ishida is a great actor, that fight was a fix, he was out before the punch even fully impacted him, Ishida got paid well for that fight in Monaco.
good argument, same can be said about Kirkland... but really ishida knockout and him half lying through the ropes with someone holding his head up looks way worse and he has a much more proven chin than kirkland.

How can u fake sweat flying off of your face like that
Keep dreaming if Canelo hits harder than GGG.
He can't knockout junior middleweights with a significant weight advantage.
Correction.
Super lightweights and welterweight at 155.
Lemiuex might hit harder than GGG, but no way does Canelo. His power is so overrated. He hit Cotto with a lot of flush, accurate shots and couldn't even hurt him.
Even Floyd hurt Cotto more than Canelo did.

Canelo doesn't load up on shots he tries to counter punch
I think the pressure he maintains and the accuracy of his jab which catches you every time you try to come back are the essence of his style
Lemieux probably does hit harder but he couldn't get in range. Golovkin would pressure him into fighting backwards then as soon as he launched his own barrage that ab was dropped into his face.
You're a good poster and see it how it is.

you were saying? btw this is the guy who iced kirkland in two (or was it one... probably two) but anyways this is what 1 punch KO looks like... actually the ishida KO looks more devastating then the Kirkland KO and Ishida has a much more proven chin.

That is the face of a newborn child gasping for air as they resurface from their baptism.
I dont know about canelo hitting harder than GGG but ive always said GGG is not a 1 punch KO artist.
But not having that 1 punch KO power has made golovkin a deadlier offensive fighter. He is is very heavy handed and can KO/drop you with the perfect shot but because he is doesnt have that 1 punch ko power he had to develop his other skills like his jab.
His jab along with his foot movement i think are his best assets because it sets up everything for him.
GGG's main thing is power, you can't take that away from him. To make things better, he's in a division where guys have already been KO'ed or KD'ed multiple times. The combination is terrible for his peers. GGG is a guy who can punch really hard and can take a punch. Everyone else at MW, they can either punch but not take a punch, or they can't punch but can box but being able to box and not having respectable power to ward off a puncher with a good chin spells trouble. He's in a division pretty much where there's no well rounded fighter there except for Canelo and himself.
