I'm pretty sure Kazakstan is a second world country. It has okay economy, not great like first world, but okay. It's not Pakistan or Nigeria, which are actual third world countries. He has several major sponsorships (Apple, Jordan), has been a pro for 10 years, and his last 5-6 paydays have been between $1-2m. He's low key and lived frugally - which a lot of foreigners do. I think it's perfectly believable. Also, please keep in mind that 'net worth' is not a measure of cash, or even liquid assets.
