According to Max Kellerman Saul Alvarez is a better P4P fighter because he started at a smaller weight class. If G and C fought, Alvarez would have to sacrifice his body by moving all the way up from the 155 lbs weight class to face the much bigger Golovkin at 160!
So even if Canelo is KO'd in 30 seconds Max Kellerman says that he is still the better P4P fighter because he moved up in weight whereas Golovkin started at 160. Furthermore if Golovkin is to even compare with Canelo as an ATG he would have to move up and dominate the 165 lbs division. Yeah lets see Goodlovin do that! War Cinammon!
"Years ago if your 147 pounder fought the majority of 160 pounders today, they would have got smoked!".................................seriously?
First off I was stating that 160 is a limit, anyone could weigh anything they want as long as it doesn't exceed 160!
Second there have plenty of welters who have moved up to challenge and win over middleweights and middleweight champions.
Todays middleweight wouldn't do very well against these men.
Henry Armstrong
Sugar Ray Robinson
Carmen Basilio
Mickey Walker
Charlie Burley
Kid Gavilan
Jose Napolis
Emile Griffith
Ray Leonard
Tommy Hearns
Roberto Duran
Felix Trinidad
There's many more but here's a few that would have very little trouble competing in today's 160lb era!
Whose going to beat them, Canelo? Everyone on my list beats Canelo in fact he gets stopped often!
Ray
I'm really biased , canelo is my favorite fighter but golovkin really doesn't fight, he destroys everyone put in front of him , canelo has looked in trouble againt jose cotto, a Gomez and little guys that he should've dominated entirely, golovkin has only destroyed and toyed with opponents so far,
Is Canelo ready to to fight Hot Button? Or will he remain warm button? You cannot remain a warm button to beat GGG, you need the hot button, and stay hot button. Warm button will lose to hot button all the time.
Yours Truly,
Roy Jones Jr.
Who cares where he started? He has never beaten that outweighed him in any way that mattered, so that argument is irrelevant. That's only important with guys like Mayweather and Pacquiao, who did start small and were beating the sh*t out of guys way bigger.
Canelo's body isn't ready Ray plus there's atleast 4 more divisions between him and GGG.
155: Caneloweight
156: Super Caneloweight
157: Ultra Caneloweight
158: Super Ultra Caneloweight
159: "Close but not quite Middleweight" Caneloweight.
He can keep this up for atleast another 5 years.
LMBO!!! :lol1::lol1:
If Canelo tried this garbage 40 years ago he would have been stripped and moved out of the top ten!
Today the federations are weak and the fighters are to blame for the garbage that goes on.
When the fighters are their own promoters, managers, matchmakers and for the most part trainers there's not much left for anyone to legislate!
The junior weight classes are being abused and the federations and the fighters don't care about the health of the sport. Years ago 147-160 was a Middleweight! Hell you could weigh 139 and fight at Middleweight its a LIMIT not a category!
Same ol' crap every day, might need to join a bowling team.....:purity:
Ray
Day of his fights GGG basically 171lbs 5' 9"
Day of his fights Saul basically 174lbs 5' 8"
They are the SAME size, get over all this BS and grow up!
They are the best at THEIR weight ring the damn bell and get richer! :boxing:
