Yeah 3 fawking years ago!
Plus you fahg Jotto wanted no part of "lil G"
It's funny you call him that and post that comment yet Jotto was so afraid of "lil G" they he would rather fight a guy that was knocked out by "lil G" than "lil G" himself! Ha
Nice try "Lil Javi"
All opinions but I see no facts anywhere.
He doesn't/hasn't needed to. Canelo has the WBC title because Lil G allowed him to have it. Go cry about Lil G wanting money instead of the title after claiming the titles are his main goal.
He did get a Title fight plus 800 Grand from Cotto... Golden Boy gave GGG their newest World Champion Lemieux and his IBF Title as a VOLUNTARY in exchange for GGG stepping aside as the MANDATORY and allowing Cotto vs Canelo... Of course that Golden Boy deal is off the books...
 154 to 168 :lol1:

A middleweight calling out a welterweight is never anything but garbage. Still calling him out when he's 40 years old and retired just makes it worse.
I'm not going to buy the Golovkin camp stories on the Ward fight, far too many contradictions and changing stories. Ward wanted that fight, they didn't.
I find it hard to believe that Ward, Froch and Lara are all telling lies, but known bull5hitters in Sanchez and Loeffler are telling the truth.
Floyd said 'GGG is easy work'. GGG said 'prove it'. How is that calling out?
Sometimes I don't know why I argue with some people on these boards, they don't read what they reply to, have no facts to back them up, and just keep regurgitating the same thing over and over and over.
Bye.
Ward = 172 (should have been 168 but he was too big to make the weight)
"Lil G" = 160 pounds
168 (If Ward was a legit SMW boxer) - 160 = 8 pounds
8 pounds / 2 = 4 pounds
"Lil G": 160 + 4 = 164 pounds
Ward: 168 - 4 = 164 pounds
As you can see, a fight at 164 was more than fair to both parties but Ward refused. So you tell me who really didn't want the fight?
 154 to 168 :lol1:

You have a problem with the callout even when the WW insists the MW would be easy work? I'm sure if you were GGG you'd have said, "You know what? Floyd's right..Forget about it."
Yeah Ward wanted the fight on his terms. One fight in 2 years on BET in front of 300k and he wants GGG to lock himself into a year long commitment to split even money and give Ward a 10lb weight advantage. 164 was thrown out casually in an email interview. It was basically and FU to a guy who did next to nothing for 2 years and wanted to cash in on Gennady's work. They were on to bigger and better things. Would you have signed the contract?
Who's accusing Ward, Froch or Lara of lies? GGG would sign in a second to fight Froch in his backyard. Ward had years to pursue the fight and sent a lousy offer that was rejected immediately for obvious reasons. Lara's all tweet no action.
All actual boxing fans want to see the fight but Golovkin is damned if he does damned if he doesn't to the NSB crowd. It's his fault for not getting Canelo stripped. Now if he strips Canelo it's his fault for not giving into his demands and his his fault for not fighting at 155. And so on. Rather than criticizing the absurdity of the lineal/WBC middleweight title holder making the demands in the first place.
All lilg & his team gotta do is strip him of the title.

that'll make 2/3 belts gift wrapped if they strip Canelo
I want to see them fight man
So, who's fault will it be if they strip Candela? Lil g for not dropping to 155 pounds to fight for the 160 pound title when the rules say he does have to or Candela for trying to break the rules and forcing another 160 pound champ to fight for a 160 pound belt at 155 pounds?
:dunno:
Good job pretending everything I said wasn't true and trying a different argument.
Golovkin has called out Floyd in 2013, the same year Canelo fought him. Since then, both Floyd has talked **** and Golovkins team has talked ****. Let's not pretend that Golovkin started calling out a 40 year old Floyd after retirement.
They've said they're open to a CW fight with Canelo, after he drops the belt. So him not being open to it is plain false.
Froch is just talking crap. When the actual discussions were taking place, they were for 168.
Ward only at 164 is a lie. When Golovkin wanted to fight at 168, when he wasnt well known, Ward turned him down. When they started talking again in early 2015, Ward wanted multiple tune ups first, at 168, with 50/50. Golovkins team knew they has Cotto/Canelo possibility and couldn't make the commitment. The quote from Loeffler was "we offered 50/50 on weight and money, but they said they wanted tune ups."
Ward never wanted this fight seriously and acted like an *******, hence Golovkin said "as a man, you're dead to me".

GGG shouldn't have to go down to 154 nor 155 if he does not want to.
2 JMW title holders fighting at 152? This happened
2 MW title holders fighting at 155? I will watch for sure but what would it really mean if GGG loses?
Canelo struggles to get down to this new division at 155. So I would prefer to wait until Canelo fights at 160.
Yeah, and he gave up an 80/20 split to get Cotto. His two biggest fights, he's had to compromise.
This is also the same Floyd who is now well retired, about to be 40 and had fought at 154 twice in 20 years, both times against relatively small 154lb fighters.
154 for retired Mayweather, not below 160 for Canelo.
172 for Froch (also retired, and about to be 40), but not above 164 for Ward.
I've lost interest now tbh, he can do whatever and continue knocking out guys like Wade. Good job pretending everything I said wasn't true and trying a different argument.

I don't think they're interested in 172 for Froch, at least that's what Loeffler said. 154 for Floyd, 168 for Froch, that's been on offer well before they retired. Most accommodating.
Canelo is still being offered a CW, he'll just have to drop the belt first. 155 to unify 3 belts and lineal is an insult to the sport. Odd you don't see a problem with that
Canelo gave up weight once to Floyd. He gave up 2 lbs when he was 23.
This is the same Floyd that Golovkin offered to drain himself 6 pounds for, even though he's 34 already.

Fuck both of them.
I don't blame Golovkin for sticking to his guns on Canelo fighting him at 160lb. They're both middleweights and Canelo is the middleweight champion.
He steps off his high horse when he starts talking about a fight with a retired welterweight and fighting Froch at 172lb. When those names come up, the question becomes why not Ward. If he's willing to step out of the middleweight division, and he wants to prove he is the best, why not take on the biggest challenge.
He's no different to every other boxer in the sport. After the high risk, low reward fights.
You know what the stupid thing in all this is?
Everyone here knows damn well that if Floyd agrees to fight GGG at 154, he ain't doing it for nothing. All the MW straps GGG is carrying will be on the line so Floyd can become a 6 weight champ.
Just think about that...... Gennady "Middleweight belts should be fought at the Middleweight limit" Golovkin fight Floyd at 154 for his WBA, IBF, IBO Middleweight belts.
Just funny to me.
It's whatever at this stage.
Canelo is not the one that needs the fight and he has given up weight and money advantages in the past to secure big fights.
Golovkin/Sanchez can hold firm and not budge an inch and continue fighting guys like Wade or fighting for vacant titles. Different weight rules for different opponents, but ultimately he's 34 years old with no important fights.

so many fighters concede to become a star....Canelo is the star....I could see if he was a lard azz....GGG can make 155....hell he was 160 a month ago....5 pounds in a month is nothing.
I wrestled in high school and boxed in my 20s....Ive had to lose 5 pounds in less than a week and sometimes 2-3 days....IJS
Call canaelos bluff, kick his ass, get the belt, and enjoy the spoils. No one can criticuze him then
Because an out of shape amateur in his 20s is the same as a 34 year old who has stayed in the same ripped shape for ~3 years now?
