AMIR KHAN claims he is living the life of a Spartan ahead of his crack at middleweight king Saul Alvarez. Khan hopes to write his name into the history books again, 12 years after he became Great Britain's youngest medallist in Olympic boxing history as a skinny 17-year-old. Click Here To Read More]
Never been a big Amir Khan fan, but if he wins it will be one of the biggest upsets in recent history! I just want to say "Props to Amir" for accepting the challenge to go up 155 for a chance at greatness. That's what champions do! Good luck mate!

"Props" to Khan accepting ..... for a chance at greatness"???
Are you out of your phucking mind????
Greatness is when you beat people at your weight class then challenge yourself by going up in weight to beat legit fighters.
Indulge me for a second if you will, Floyd moved up from 130 and beat up everyone at 135 then moved to 140 and did the same then moved to 147 and unified then 154 and unified. That's what you call greatness.
How the phuck do you call this move a path to greatness when Khan hasn't done jack sheet at 140 or 147?? As for beating Canelo, how is beating Canelo a path to greatness?? Who has he beaten at 154? Cotto?
This site packs a lot of phucking neanderthals for sure.
Come on, if Khan pulls this off it would be one of the biggest upsets of the last 20 years. He has to get credit if he does.
Canelo has one of the best résumés in boxing right now and the overwhelming majority of experts are giving Khan no chance whatsoever.
Don't kid yourself Khan won't win and if he were to sneak a victory it would only be down to how Canelo is......remember Mayweather won every round and some by a two point margin since that Canelo has looked very ordinary and some think he has been very lucky with decisions more than once.Canelo is far from invincible that is why he is fighting Khan and not GGG and has the weight advantage and a rematch clause.
The only thing that would be surprising is if Khan can get his weak chin through twelve ......that for me would count as a victory.

Never said that it won't be an achievement for Khan. It would be a big upset indeed. I will laugh if Khan beat Canelo for cashing out in such a small foe with a very weak chin. Canelo legs are slow but he has a very fast, fluid upper body.
The problems with Khan winning is the non-stop BS that we have to hear from him and his fanatic fan base
Canelo is a superstar, not a boxing legend.
Khan thinks that he is fighting Hagler

Khans comments are as always childlike , he's an embarrassment. You've only got to look at how ordinary Khan is and realise that in his 34 fights to date this is the first time he's fought out of his comfort zone as a non betting favourite and that is NOT because he is some great fighter it's because he's never stepped up to a match where his level of opposition is any good.
Canelo is very beatable , Mayweather hammered him and he's also looked very lucking not to lose some very close decisions but for all his weaknesses ,slow feet , inability to cut down the ring and easy to hit Khan has many more and his weak chin is always going to be a factor as it has his whole career.
Khans name is set for life .....he is chinny.
No it's not a duck...but untill canelo shows that he is willing to go up say to 157lb then better to hold judgement...because all We've seen from him in his last 3 fights is his 155lb game....he talks about giving up advantages to golovkin by moving up to 160lb...well he's already in that division ...anyway I'm not gonna argue over something that's plain as day...yes golovkin said he will fight anybody from 154 -168 but he also has the right to fight for the 160lb WBC belt which he is the mandatory challenger for.....a catchweight is not included in this conversation because it's not an even fight, I'm simply saying canelo is avoiding golovkin if it's a 160lb fight...yeah and your right canelo-Khan is bullsh1t and should not be happening especially for the middlweight title....up untill this whole ridiculous situation I actually liked canelo and the way he carried himself in the ring, now many people's opinions have changed towards canelo in a negative way...I really don't know if it's actually golden boys idea and there trying to protect there investment and keep him winning or if canelo actually likes what he has now and don't want to lose it.... He should just vacate the belt and then the pressure is off
until negotiations actually start we wont know anything, for now is nothing but posturing from both camps 155-160, a month from now we will see who is willing to negotiate and who isnt, and ggg has every right to not even negotiate the weight, im fine with that, just dont say you are being avoided after that...
hold on ******!! strongly defending canelo?? i have stated multiple times that canelo-khan is a joke, and that he should not hold a MW title if he doesnt want to defend it at 160... but refusing to fight GGG?? he clearly said several times that he will fight GGG at anytime but at a CW, he is giving GGG the exact same treatment that he gave to his last 5 opponents, 155 lbs a weight GGG has no problems fighting others... again a CW while holding a title is BS, but is far from a duck , lets not forget anyone from 154 to 168...
now you have erick gomez talking about canelo going up and ggg going down to meet in the middle, is that a duck??

I know and that's why I'm responding to that thread ! isn't that what threads are about ? the bottom line is your fighter your so strongly defending has a middleweight belt and he's simply making a mockery of the 160lb belt...now whether you like it or not he's not acting like a champion and I could never imagine a Salvador Sanchez,Chavez, morales or Barrera behaving like a spineless chicken and refusing to fight his mandatory, if he can't beat golovkin then I will understand why he don't want to face him and all he has to do is lose another 1lb and go back to the 154 division...it's that simple

Amir is his own hype man.
You know what would really impress me? If he just STFU, went into the fight and then won. All his jabbering on and on is annoying.
I'm a huge Canelo fan, but Khan is putting alot of stock in the fight. Canelo is a good fighter and will be a great win for Khan provided the circumstances however, Canelo is still slightly unproven himself. He's young as although he does have some nice wins under his belt, he failed his one big test against Mayweather and he needs to rebound from that, as he has been.
at least he was voted the fastest running man on earth after finding out GGG was on the same building.
thats why i said some, there is even a thread about it...

but acording to some ggg fans a canelo win will elevate ggg to ATG levels...
Only to the freak GGG fans. Most ggg fans just know he's better and want to see Canelo exposed and fight someone that he's not naturally bigger than.
Going up 2 divisions to beat the linear champ and p4p no1 in his prime would be a pretty big acheivement.
He's basically going up 1 division and lineal champ means **** all these days. Since when did Canelo become King Kong?
