Tyson Fury has claimed he has succeeded in his bid to become the 'most controversial and most outspoken' heavyweight champion of the world since Muhammad Ali.
Larry Holmes caused a lot of controversy when he said Marciano couldn't hold his jock strap~.
The flying kick off the car with Berbick was also pretty good and remembered to this day by anyone who knows of that story.
The only thing controversial about Fury is his talent. Is he really a good fighter or did it just appear that way because he beat a 40 year old man? Things that come out of his mother are sometimes amusing, but in an idiotic way. That's about as controversial as Fury is.
He says outrageous things trying to be controversial. He can't handle the pressure of being controversial because as soon as he gets called on his statements he apologizes or plays the victim/race card
nail.on.head.
Stick to his beliefs? He apologized for statements he's made. Have you ever heard of a guy named Jack Johnson? He was driving fast cars and dating white women in the 20's. He was charged and convicted for dating white women. Fury is not controversial. He's just a loud mouth
Fury apologised to people he might have offended, he didn't apologise for what he said.
Mike tyson would like to have a word.
Not as smart/charismatic as Ali and not as intense or crazy as Tyson.Tyson, Ali and Johnson all beat him and maybe Liston as well. He isn't shaking things up nearly as much as he thinks he is.
he's not as smart and self-aware as ali or as crazy and un-self-aware as tyson
but he's still great
in a way wlad's reign was the most controversial of all purely for how boring most people found it
I feel like people who say these things weren't around for a lot of Tyson media. That mother****er was beyond crazy. I mean....like...
"My back is broken" - M.Tyson
He probably is.
You could make a claim for Mike Tyson too but I think Tyson Fury is much more outspoken with his words and beliefs like Ali was. He has strong beliefs and not afraid to speak them.
Mike Tyson was just controversial for somethings he did and said. More of a ticking time bomb.
But in terms of being outspoken and not afraid to speak his mind and stick to his beliefs, then yeah, he probably is.
