The perception of Broner in 2013 compared to 2016 has got to be one of the most drastic plummets in stock I've ever witnessed. This comment reminded me that a lot of people on NSB were picking Provodnikov to win by KO in a hypothetical matchup against Broner. Can't tell if the voting outcome in this poll is more a result of Spence's newfound hype or Broner's drop in stock.

Maybe in the PBC press releases. Broner is a fringe contender at welterweight. Thurman, Porter, Brook, Garcia, Bradley...Who else is ahead of him exactly? You really believe if a motivated Broner shows up he can't beat those < guys?

He lacks head movement and hasn't looked hard to hit generally. For a powerful, precise puncher like Spence he's an ideal opponent. Both don't utilize much movement. Broner's power @147 isn't anything special, and Spence will probably grow into a LMW. Broner won't be able to muscle him around, and he isn't quick enough to evade in-fighting all night long. Chances are that Broner gets into a war like he did with Taylor and gets stopped.

He obviously has talent and could be a future star but right now he's just a prospect, a win over Algeri doesnt change that. Personally I think Broner has enough about him to go the distance with Spence.

I think Broner would last until the end. People underestimate Broner's durability and toughness. I think he might lose most rounds, but I doubt he gets stopped.

I think this is a logical fight for Haymon to make. Broner looks like he's hit his ceiling inside the ring, and is in full-on self-destruct mode outside of it. Spence on the other hand looks like he could potentially be the top dog in the welterweight division. Whatever value is left in Broner's name, and the ratings suggest there is some, should be used to elevate Spence.

I don't think Broner would get knocked out cold because he has a GREAT chin... But I think he'd get stopped on an accumulation of punches. Broner does bad against guys that swarm you.

No he doesn't. I will bet my life that Errol Spence will beat the dog sh*t out out of manny. Spence to big for Broner however Spence is trash if he keeps fighting like how he did vs AlgeriHe beat the hell out of Algieri from the opening bell and hardly got hit at all in return. He KOed Algieri while other big punchers could not stop Algieri. How does that make Spence trash?
