With Marquez essentially retired there seems to be a scarcity of Mexican welterweights.
There is only one Mex-American in the top 10 WW rankings; Jessie Vargas (Ranked #9).
Meanwhile, there are 3 ranked at Jr. WW; Herrera (#7), Antonio Orozco (#6) and Adrien Granados (#9).
Maybe some of these guys will be a force when they move up?
Damn, no wonder my girl got **** faced off of one wine cooler and was sitting in the floor of a dark restroom by herself. LMAO
It is dangerous for some people to drink. But that is probably the reason.
Maybe not that high. But many Asians lack the enzyme needed to break alcohol down. You see them get red faced after one beer. But there are people globally who can't break down alcohol.

Yeah Sammy Vazquez comes to box. He's another Canelo type Mexican. Mexicans come in all sorts styles in it. In Mexico Veracruz most Mexicans are black. Would be dope as hell to see a rising black Mexican fighter. Mexicans cool doe.
Would anyone consider a legend like Jose Napoles a mexican or a cuban?
I just read that Mexicans from Sonora have a common Anglo or Euro look. Didnt the French occupy most of Mexico at one point? Sammy Vazquez is identifying himself as Mexican-American, same way Victor Oritz, Mike Garcia, Josesito Lopez, De La Hoya, Brandon Rios identity themselves. Surely their phenotypes exist in Mexico as well. Or is Mexico all indigenous looking like Chavez, Barrera, Angulo, Morales, Salido? Mexicans come in variety.
You ask these questions like we don't live in an age where you can easily answer these questions for yourself via research. Fringe red K/back hand worthy, to be honest.
All naciones latinoamericanos have a mixture of skin complexion and cultural impact due to the conquest of the Spanish/French/German. The fact that in 2016, with where we are in the information age, this isn't common knowledge to you people (you being anyone not us; us being latinos - the pinnacle of humanity) blows my mind.
That's also why I can't take fellow latinoamericanos seriously when they pull the race card - we as a people have it all - my uncle is as dark as Floyd Sr. I also have an primo that makes Canelo look like Amir Khan. We are the same immediate family. We also do have groups of indigenous people who almost all look the same. You can find them in the selva y las montañas. A common word for them would be tribes. You f00king numptys. Get an education.
Only a couple names I can think of right now for possible WW's - Saul Rodriguez and Jose Ramirez are both LW's but could be WW someday. Maybe maybe not. . Alex "El cholo" saucedo is a WW prospect Ive been waiting to see emerge..still fighting 8 rounders doe
Rodriguez KO'ed Najera in one round after just going the distance with Verdejo
I guess Vargas is one of the better fighters now-he is pretty seasoned for his mid-20's
Interesting. I know this Asian girl (Japanese) who has to buy a special serum from Amazon to chug 1hr before she drinks in order to reduce the symptoms.
They sell pills & lil bottles to break down the alcohol. It has the enzyme needed to metabolize alcohol.
But, on a different note, j poon is real good.

Oh ok. Is it true that 1 in 3 Japanese people can't digest alcohol properly?

I'm american and i miss the mexican welterweights. i don't know what happened. good mexican fighters are becoming harder and harder to come by. screw the diva mickey (who was always nervous to fight gamboa) we need the real mexican fighters back like chavez sr
It's 'Mikey' and no, I don't feel that way about him at all. All he wanted to do was break free from his slave contract and that's why he never fought Gamboa. Gamboa has no defense and was on a downward spiral ever since joining SMS, there's no doubt in my mind Mikey would have beat that ass clean. I miss Mikey, he's an excellent fighter and technician. Not the best, but surely one of the best Mexican technicians out right now. I'm sure he'll be a WW soon enough. He cut a lot of weight for that extra advantage. Hopefully when he returns Garcia will make sure he fights closer to his actual weight.

No te preocupes, my people cannot and will not be held back!

True, true. We have several exciting fighters at the moment but they are all south of 140. In fact, most fight in weight divisions that the average boxing fan has very little interest in.

These things change all the time. In a year or two more Mexican welterweights could be rated in the top ten. Mexico always has many good fighters coming up that fight near or at 147 pounds. This lack of top ten Mexican welterweights probably won't last long.

Carlos Molina, the ex jr middleweight champ, said he's moving down to welter. I think he could even make 140 because he has a lot of excess weight. I believe Juan Diaz could also go down 2 divisions to 126. He's pretty old and still making 135 easy. He was never a 135 lber.

Definitely sammy vasquez. But he can get a litle too wild
I think frankie gomez and jose benavides jr are fighting at welterweight now.
Theres a bunch of other dudes but kinda fell short:
victor ortiz, josesito lopez, etc
