It seems to me like Fury has thought this one out.... I think he's insulting Joshua in the hope that Joshua will be enraged to the point of committing his first defense, of his newly won IBF Title, against Fury..
Perhaps Fury thinks Joshua will beat Martin and doesn't want to have to chase Joshua, who might want a few easy defenses before committing to a unification fight with Fury ???
It makes sense, but there are a lot of "IF'S"... Like Klitschko and Martin both losing..
What would be wrong with that? They would both make good money and unification fights are always good in my opinion.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with that.... But I think Fury is unsure if Joshua will commit to a unification fight in his first defense....
That's why he's trying to get under Joshua's skin.... Tyson is insulting Joshua's skills and experience...
Tyson is trying to solicit a response from Joshua before he even fights Martin... He wants Joshua to say something like " After I KO Martin, I'm coming after you ! "
That way he can either secure the fight or have ammunition to further insult Joshua for ducking and not Man up...
What would be wrong with that? They would both make good money and unification fights are always good in my opinion. There should only be one champ in each weight class and not 3 or 4 champions but that will probably never happen. I think Joshua will KO Martin and lose to Fury but he has the power to KO Fury if he can hit him enough with big punches.
For the most part, I agree, Tyson Fury is a genius. It's a big fight for the UK. It's a very natural fight to make and at this level, you only want the big fights that will make a difference in your bank account. Haye is not likely to get a shot again, but the Povetkin-Wilder winner is probably another fight to look towards. Even the losers of these fights will produce interesting events.
Joshua is probably an easier option for him than Wilder, Povetkin, or Haye. It would only make sense to start aiming in the direction he wants to go in.
