I would like to put some money on this Ward vs Barreras fight...
But I can't find oddmakers online to take bets on this particular fight.
Is it the same in the U.S.? Because from my country I can't place a bet...
Last time he fought, Ward's opponent was 33, 40 or 66 to 1 underdog... I wanted to see how is he now, but I can't...
Is anybody here who would be able to 'enlighten' me with respect to this very matter?
Ward fighting Kovalev is a bigger risk and better opponent than Little G will ever face in his career, 34 and his best win is Murray, nobody around his weight that would be a great win. He turned down his only shot at greatness. That's the joke.
Who in your opinion has the better resume, Canelo or Kovalev?
The odds are now up on oddschecker, and I'm shocked at how close they are. They have Barrera as only a 5.5-1 underdog. I thought he'd be at least 7-1 and likely higher. But they're giving him a lot of credit because he's undefeated and a LHW.
These guys are either badly stupid or they are just crazy fans...
Who ever had an (signed) agreement to fight somebody over one year+ and after that somebody takes one or two tune ups? Give me only one (notable) similar example...
(Kovalev didn't have to agree on anything, it's HBO which agreed... In fact Ward was only after the HBO money and not after Kovaliov or Golovkin.)
I don't have any such examples. Then again, I don't know any other SMW that could beat Klitschko, or anyone of that caliber that would offer a fight to Aussie novice so mismatched the commission would strike it
If Ward offered to fight straight away = Golovkin had a mandatory
Ward offers to fight after mandatory situation should have been cleared up = It's a joke
Little G fans trying hard to defend the hype job and failing.
Right away wouldn't work since Ggg just signed for Lemieux. Plus Ward needed extra tuneups. In any case you made that up about Ward waiting for the mando, they never mentioned this, but as you saw your feeble effort fell way flat.
You didn't tell me, what's your favorite Ward comedy act. I forgot about that Western Aussie clubfighter getting nixed by the commission, was it that one?
So it's basically like Winky telling Floyd back then, let's commit to 50/50 if you get by DLH. Lol Ward is a comedian. Which joke you like better, this scam, or HW champ by 32, beating Klitschko, facing lil Floyd at 160?

another thread that turned into GGG vs Ward BS. nothing new... the fans make this bigger thing than the fighters ever cared about. We need to give this a rest.
Ward wanted an agreement to fight, he was willing to wait until Little G had cleared up the mandatory situation and fight at the end of this year. Golovkin rejected it and said "maybe in 2017". Ward then decided to do what Little G didn't have the balls to.

The mando would have been cleared up already if it wasn't for Golovkin stepping aside, he would have been free to fight at the end of the year. :dunce:
Golovkin wasn't willing to move up and fight the best and tards defended him. Ward has the right to moan about these people like you that criticise him but defend the hype job.
End of what year, stupid? Mando was due in may originally. When exactly was Ward proposing this take place?
Ward wanted an agreement like he now has with Kovalev. Kovalev actually has balls and agreed.
He didn't want Kovalev, he cried about it, remember? Why they make me do this, not the other guy? But it was either that, or back to BET. Kov didn't want to wait a year+, that was all Ward. In any case nobody is taking that deal while mando to Canelo for the biggest fight in boxing.
Haven't found any lines on the fight. Really unusual stuff.
Maybe they are expecting Ward to pull out with an injury :omfg:
... No joke now: It's more than strange that the best P4P U.S. fighter doesn't hold an open line at the bookies with less than 6 days until the actual fight!!!
But what do I know? :)...
So: that webpage in from my country... and it was cited another one from Turkey... But what about your bookies, in the U.S.? :)

I didn't know Ward was fighting Roman Gonzales this year.
No, he's fighting that Barreras or Banderas guy -- but not even the bookies are sure about that.
Ward could retire today and have Froch, Kessler, Abraham, Dawson, Bika on his resume. And if all goes has planned, he will be fighting the #1 p4p fighter in the world this year.
GGG doesn't have his Froch or Kessler yet. His best win is Martin Murray and he's 34.
You can degrade Ward's career all you want but the reality of the situation is that GGG is 34 and has no signature wins.
