Why does Wilder get let off for beating up women, but not Mayweather?

I was at the casino last Saturday, got pretty damn drunk until 4am, went to a kebab shop and over ate while I waited on a taxi and yeah, I'm pretty sure I made a homophobic comment at some point in the night........I didn't go home and beat on my girlfriend though..... well, maybe a little :spankme: 9/10 she needed it homie that lil story you gave is a good example of how we unconsciously walk through our day and do things that we criticize others for. Lets not beat around the bush, he was sleeping with a hooker behind his wifes back, they had sex all night and in the morning he thought she stole from him so he beat her up. After contacting the victim during the court process they settled out of court and she didn't press charges, this allowed him to escape jail and continue his career Its a disgrace that this incident has been hushed up by the establishment. why do people on this forum act like they are some righteous, do-gooder, perfect MFers. Everybody on this site has sinned, and made mistakes one time or another in their life's. The only difference is, is that we are not public figures the same fools condemning fighters for domestic violence, gambling, drinking, over-eating and homo remarks have done the same things in their life's. As some people have said, he hasn't 'had a pass', it is just that less people know about him and therefore the details that he comes with. This is the first I have heard of it and I know I am not the first who did not know either. Not many people care about him - he has not had as much coverage and vice versa. Floyd was the opposite. He was at the pinnacle and had all sorts of his life's aspects covered and portrayed in some form or another in the media. Also, Floyd had many haters and still does along side this, so people that dislike him may like to use it to dirty up his name etc etc..Wilder doesn't have that. Pretty different examples if you ask me.

And, no matter how you dress it up - the charges against Wilder were dropped. Any crapola about "Haymon paid them off" blah blah, is just hot air. Unless you've got something to back it up with, it doesn't mean squat. Anything that starts with "FACT", but doesn't have any substance, is worthless. The only FACT here is, he wasn't convicted. ^This. It's not at all unusual for someone to, in the heat of anger, falsely claim they were physically abused. When the evidence gets added up, it often has to be dropped. None of us have any idea if he was at fault in an altercation and it's pretty transparent why some are quick to try to hold this against him. People so small that they'll make false claims to support their rabid hate. Mayweather was found guilty and rightfully punished.

Bigger "story?" What are you on about. Your parents never fought? How many family homes have you visited your entire life? . stfu Sure they fought but they never hit each other because they aren't animals. Before the facts came out I speculated that it was probably a prostitute who was in his room trying to rob him. That's the story he gave and I believed him, definitely feasible.

Wilder isn't better than the most popular boxers on NSB so posters do not come up with illogical and irrational reasons to discredit him. If WIider were Floyd or Ward you'd see more posters talking about his DV to discredit him and claiming this is the reason they do not like him. Today is the first I've heard about it. This also speaks to the lack of popularity of Wilder, because if he were as accomplished as Floyd and Andre, there would have been more reporters blowing this story up.

Do you have sources for this too, or is this speculation to make your thread seem worthwhile? As a number of people, including yourself seemed unaware of Wilder's arrest, i would say that this thread has served it's purpose. :)

Al Haymon & Team Wilder paid off the prostitute so she would drop the charges, and no doubt paid off boxingscene and the like to never mention it again. Shady stuff. Do you have sources for this too, or is this speculation to make your thread seem worthwhile?

I didn't know this. I didn't even know Floyd had so many cases until the jose articles detailed it so. But I don't idolize these guys, I just enjoy their fights. There is nothing wrong with having dislike towards a guy for doing something you disapprove of...you're entitled to that opinion and only a fanboy would try to strip you of it, and why would anyone wanna argue with a fanboy so irrational and without a mind of their own?
