sparring is sparring but even then. thats very telling that crawford beat down bradley in their sparring sessions.....
someone was saying that bradley beat down crawford in their sessions so i took it upon myself to see whats what.
So you're more interested in the politics of it, eh? What about you, who do you want for Crawford next, considering all these names they're mentioning are not available for him like Bradley, Pac, Marquez.
People are not interested in fantasy fights. They're interested in fights that can be done realistically. Seems you're not ready to condemn HBO for treating Postol the way they are now.
As a boxing fan who do you want for Crawford next?
Postol 100%!
It is definitely the fight that should be made, there really isn't another feasible 140 match up for Crawford.
If he is "special" and is actually going to be a PPV level fighter then TR, his team (and HBO) should just get on with making this fight as a win definitely moves him in the right direction.
No excuses.
dude, i get that you're a bradley fan. but don't make up crap. your version of "read in between the lines" is adding your own agenda in it and switching up completely what was said and happened. first thing. since the beginning of time we all knew that bradley actually likes getting beat up in sparring because it teaches him on what to work on.
bradley said that he caught on to matthyess's style very quickly and he was able to block and weeve most of his shots. (never said anything about getting hurt to the body) but what he did sa is that matthysse had serious power. stop f*cking lying
bradleys wife confirmed that bradley got beat up in their sessions by crawford. it's nothing wrong with what happened in their sessions (sparring is sparring) but what happened happened don't try to flip it to something else.
So where is the video of Monica saying this?
thats the issue.....hbo isn't protecting crawford from postol because if that was the case postol would be fighting other fighters on hbo. they don't want him back at all (against anyone) obviously they are chasing down fighters who bring knock outs vs boxing ability. the rigo and postol situation is wrong.......but that actually has very little to do with crawford. crawford would love to fight postol.
That doesn't make sense though. Postol is like the white version of Crawford if anything. He's a very technical boxer who can adapt whose last two fights on HBO both ended in knockouts. I have absolutely no idea why they don't want Postol other than they didn't want Matts to lose to him.
Bradley's the most overrated fighter of the past couple of years. Never been a fan.
Overrated? If anything he is highly underrated. More than a few posters on here call him a bum, an average dude who gets lucky.

so arum was protecting crawford from pac? i think thats the fight arum was pushing for.........and still is.
Not at the moment. His making sure Crawford is ready for Pac, at this time he is not convinced. He wants Crawford to build confidence and establish himself slowly but surely.
If Crawford was able to fight Pac and gets destroyed by Pac. His luster will end. Arum won't like that. Arum is going the safe route.
You mean HBO is pulling the same card similar to the Rigo situation when he beat Donaire. I see. Postol not only beat Matthysse, who the HBO guy was rooting for to win, they're also protecting Crawford. I see.
Just curious where the outcry is from the Rigo crowds when he's experiencing the same situation.

and thats the problem.......it's more about postol being blocked & not being offered another date on hbo (against any opponent)

Absolutely no reason why this fight can't happen. None. Crawford needs to step up and stop fighting small and come-forward fighters.
(Where the hell is that therealpugilist guy and her friends in all this? If Postol is the one ducking, they'll be all over him mercilessly.)

LOL, "He beat me up" can be a figure of speech man, just like "this dude is a monster" or "he took it to me". Describing something as give and take or tough is in no way remotely close to describing a one sided affair and Bradley isn't going to just sit there and say he got handled if that's what happened. He said the same kind of thing about Matthysse when he sparred him, said he was a beast and that Matts hurt his stomach but Bradley pretty much controlled the rounds.
People can read into things however they want to I guess.

If Crawford really is the "next big thing" then put him in with Postol and move towards as much of a 140 unification that can be achieved due to politics.
Crawford and Postol both TR so should be fairly straightforward to make and Postol wants it, so why would Crawford not . . . .

So why is he avoiding Postol?
I understand the high risk, low reward prospect, but isn't this how boxing should be? Fight the worthy opponent in your division?

Sparring is sparring, you never know if someone is in shape or not, going full throttle, and all that stuff... However if Bradley is saying that i'll believe him, they seemed very hot sparring sessions...
I like Crawford, but he's very unproven as of now, i want to see him against better guys near his size, feasting on smaller men will do no good for him in preparation for the big fights... Provodnikov would be a good test, and a difficult fight, in my opinion...
He's not ready for Pacquiao, even this faded version with his mind to politic... Pacquiao fought well against Mayweather even with a sore shoulder, showed great defence and counterpunching, he didn't get outboxed at all, not even close...
Let's see how he does with Bradley, if he loses and looks bad, Arum is ready to make the fight with Crawford... And there is Postol waiting also...
I'd love to see this fight, but since when do casual fans love chess match fights? I doubt this fight holds much appeal to casuals going in unless they are on the Crawford bandwagon already. I think Postol is still unknown or virtually unknown to some hardcore fans let alone casuals. This is for sure one of the fights I'd most like to see in the sport right now doe.
Bradley already reiterated he's not fighting Crawford. Pacquiao is retiring. Marquez came out just yesterday and he wants a tuneup fight first if he ever comes back. And they're talking about Vargas, not Crawford.
People need to stop using the above names to somehow excuse Crawford for avoiding Postol, who is the only one available and willing to fight him.
