How is Golovkin mandatory for the WBC?

This! Exceptional circum$tance$ Yeah fair enough. No worse than Chavez Jr getting another WBC title shot I'm all for other world champions being installed mandatories. Why this isn't the case already shows how corrupt and political these sanctioning bodies really are.

Was wondering the same thing I looked up the rules on the WBC website and one the rules is basically the WBC can do whatever the f.uck it likes as long as they think itsfor the betterment of boxing, so I just assumed that this was the case with this. They have a rule stating any fighter can be installed mandatory in exceptional circumstances

The WBC seems to have changed a few years back(yes because of money) they made Manny Floyds mando out of thin air..they also made Kovalev Stevensons mando out of thin air...and GGG is also the interim WBC champion so thats your answer
