The way Kovalev looks when he moves around the ring reminds me of Calzaghe. I noticed it when I saw him boxing southpaw in one of his fights. But even when he's orthodox the similarity is still there.
I'm talking about the way he moves and shapes up before throwing punches. When he starts letting his hands go, the resemblance ends.
If Kovalev beats Ward, there is NO ONE that can beat him besides Artur
If Kovalev fights Ward he will beat him for sure. Beterbiev is the only man I see as a threat to Krusher over the next 2/3 years.
Ward didn't actually intend to fight Golovkin -- he only 'acted' as such... PR doe...
I think Ward knew even before he fought Smith that 168 wasn't his best fighting weight any more.
Sending GGG an offer that was sure to be turned down was pure PR.
Nice vid, thanks! I really like Beterbiev, though watching that video, there's a lot of exercises I would no do for fear of injury/long-term wear and tear.
Did enjoy seeing some of the more unorthodox stuff he does. Best of luck to him. Hope he's coming back healthy!
He needs to learn English, so he'll be a large version of Gennady. It's true though his style is VERY similar to Golovkin's. His amateur background is also just as good. I heard he's like 300-5 or 6
His feet aren't as good as Golovkin's from what I've seen of him, in the amateurs and the pros. Has great hands though, and he's strong as fuck.

They look horribly inflamed and arthritic.

I want to like Beterbiev since he fits all my criteria for liking a fighter, I just think he is a tad too robotic/mechanic in his approach.
