BILLY JOE SAUNDERS says close pal Tyson Fury made him a very prickly offer.
But the WBO middleweight world champion had to turn it down - because he finds eating hedgehogs far too dry.
Heavyweight King Fury says he sometimes feasts on the spikey rodents in the build up to a big fight after marinating them in honey and baking them.

Canelo can't make 154, so he's a MW.
Problem is, Canelo can't make 154, so he's a MW. But he won't let his opponents fight at 160.
Simple reason for this, Canelo is weak. He's KO'd one drained and inactive Kirkland at 154, everyone else has been 147ers.
Canelo isn't half as good as they pretend.
I completely agree with Sanders. Unfortunately money takes precedence over everything. I have nothing against Cotto or Canelo, but they're not real middleweights. I honestly think its wrong and disrespectful against past and current middleweights who have worked their way up to 160 and fought at the weight. Why couldn't Canelo or Cotto do that? To me it contradicts the purpose of the division.
Saunders is 100% correct. If you claim to be MW champ then fight at 160.
Cotto wins MW title from a gimpy Martinez and Alvarez takes the title from the undersized Cotto. Now Alvarez faces off against another pretender. I guess you can say thats boxing but its still BS.
When same day weigh-ins were the rule a fighter wasn't able to weigh in at 155 and come into the ring north of 170.
Agreed 160lbs is middleweight and if they don't fight at this how on earth can you say you're the middleweight champion and insist the champion moves down . 155lbs is not a weight it's a con.
did he looked drained in his last fight?
I think he actually looked more comfortable than his previous fights, far from drained imo...
He didn't look drained against Cotto because Cotto was 20lbs lighter than him and had the usual Freddy Roach inspired game plan - come forward and push the opponent back.
It made for an entertaining match, but it allowed Canelo to fight his kind of fight without needing to adjust or work harder than he wanted to work, because Cotto just wasn't big enough to hurt him.
I noticed something though - Canelo couldn't hurt Cotto either, despite catching him bang on repeatedly. At neloweight, Canelo himself lacks power in his punches.
A fighter with Canelo's style and approach needs to be able to hurt his opponents when he hits them flush. If he stopped draining himself down 20lbs lower than his fighting weight it could give him the pop he needs and is missing now.

He didn't look drained but i still think he would be better off at 160. The fact is once he starts going above 155, people will say there's no excuse for him not to fight Golovkin. He would rather fight at 155 and say he's not a full middleweight even if its killing him to make 155, whatever it takes to avoid GGG.
I think it's nonsense anyway, if you're above 154 then you're a middleweight up until 160, so fight as one. The whole point of a weight class it has a certain number of weights within that class where you find your comfortable weight, so that couldbe 155, 157, whatever, as long as it's under 160. So even if you're weighing 156, by the rules you should still fight someone even if they're 160.
Canelo makes a mockery of the belt, the history and the weight classes of the sport.
I'm actually a bit of a Canelo fan but i can't defend him when he's posing as a middleweight champion but won't fight a middleweight at the proper limits.
I'd pick BJS to beat the 155 version of Canelo. Who knows how much better Canelo would be if he stopped draining himself though?

There is a reason why Canelo chose khan at 155 he knows he can't hang with the best at 160.
Golovkin
Jacobs
Saunders
Lee
BJ is right Canelo wants none of a young Brit in his prime.
It's actually a good chance Canelo loses to BJS.

The guy who is "defending" in a bumfight against a slapping opponent who is 3-3 in his last six fights is criticizing somebody else's opposition. Effing rich
If Canelo doesn't fight GGG in the fall, Saunders would be a logical next step.
Perhaps Saunders is doing some preliminary negotiation over Weight ???
He doesn't want any part of GGG, but Canelo at 155 equally unappealing... But the $$$ in either would be far better than any other option...
and you ducking ggg is bull shiz. ure a pu $$Y and Canelo would kick ure lame ass in heartbeat....ure skills are very limited fish and chip
It's actually a good chance Canelo loses to BJS.
