Berto should have been. He was fed too many tomato cans that he became complacent, never recovered after that.
He also should have taken the Mosley fight when he had the chance.
Yeah, i never understood why they didn't find a new date for the fight after it was cancelled. That fight was intriguing as hell when it got made
Not much honestly. People are putting him up on that pedestal already and if he isn't careful, he'll buy into his own hype (see JuanMa) and self-implode.
When people call a man a king, he believes he's a king. When the people want the king to go to war, the king looks to his knight to win the war for him. Only in boxing, you have to be both the king and knight and it's often hard for the king to put a sword in his hand when he is used to holding a bag of gold.
What do you mean not much? How can you not see the skills this kid has? There's nothing wrong with predicting the future, people are just going by the talent they see in this kid, If you can't see it then your obviously blind as fuk.
And JuanMa was always trash IMO. Verdejo is light years above this dude in talent.
This thread was made about 7 years ago. Same things being said. Only difference was the kids name was Juanma Lopez.
I reslly think verdejo is special. I hope so.

There's a big difference. Verdejo looks and talks smart. JuanMa was as dumb as a rock. Verdejo won't fall into the same trap JuanMa did.
I don't blame you. The Mexican chicas love them some brothers. We don't love em, but we still lay down the pipe that their men can't give them. :lol1:
You guys also get all the fat white chicks. You mofos have no shame.
I bet this is your chick huh?

Always so obsessed with blacks and Puerto Ricans while always sticking out for your master. :lol1:

I'm excited about him. I think he is the next big Puerto Rican star. Can box, bang mix it up
Thoughts? Sky is the limit for him IMO.
Not sure if he will get the Dulorme treatment but I dont see him going too far.
The kid's definitely got talent. I stopped predicting things out of young guys after Berto tricked me. I thought Berto was going to be P4P #1 one day lmao

I wouldn't compare Diamond boy with JuanMa.. They have two different personalities and fight differently. Diamond boy fights with intelligence and JuanMa fought with heart and in the end it's what cost him his career. Felix is a Christian and is as humble as they come.. He's a lot like Tito IMO..
PRPP:boxing:
I like him and I really hope Ricans don't overdo it with jumping on his nuts hardcore like they did Cotto.
Hopefully he can achieve greatness in his own way.

I think hell be the next PR star hopefully similar to Cotto, has the skills and fundamentals to go far, be interesting to see how he reacts when hes in a tough fight against a top level Mexican (Mexican vs PR rivalry)
I think hell become a 2-3 weight world champ too based of what ive seen from him.
He has all is needed to be great, speed, power, timing, discipline and hunger, lets see what happens but i really think this guy is the next PPV king, even Arum thinks Verdejo will be the biggest superstar of boxing.
