Roy Jones moved up to HW to take the title from John Ruiz, many believed that aslong as Jones was fighting the smaller HW's some included Tyson, Holyfield and etc he would be fine.
No one requested him to fight Lewis due to the sheer size and skill. Wilder has the size, but would he have had the skill to defeat Roy Jones Jr?
Jones makes wilder break his ankles trying to find him. Wilder could KO him if he hit him but i don't think jones word allow it. Wilder has a long way to go, fortunately for him his power will keep him in every fight.
Far to rangy and powerful for Jones...wilder would show zero respect and just unload on him at will....one gets through and knocks Jones out cold....he just has to much physical disadvantages to be able to beat wilder....no chance for Roy Jones

Ruiz was not very good. Wilder's weakest link is his chin but it still takes a hard hitting heavyweight to hurt him. While Jones was a hard punching light heavyweight he was no big puncher at heavyweight. With no power to worry about Wilder could come at Jones hard. Wilder has flaws but he has a long, fast powerful left jab. He has fast hands and great power in his right and good power in his left. He would have a huge height and reach advantage over Jones. This all adds up to a Wilder win by KO.
