I think he adds spice to the 'new era' we have now. I like that he's heavier too, he still seems to have the speed. He should have picked a better comeback than De Mori though.
I'll need to see him face someone like Povetkin or Ortiz! Those are fighters I'd kill to see go toe to toe with Haye
Haye is trying to secure Browne
^And, such is boxing... :nonono:
I always wanted to see Haye sack up and make the most of his talents. Instead, he was eager to retire early, wouldn't engage w/ Klitschko, returns have been sketchy, etc. At this point it's hard to get excited about him coming back and the look of him does not sit easy w/ me. Sure, he looked great pounding a scrub for 5 min but that extra bulk has hindered him and it's going to become very evident when he has to go a few rounds.
Yeah.. he does look a lot bulkier.
I can still picture Haye taking control of the division.. but I'll need to see him face someone like Povetkin or Ortiz! Those are fighters I'd kill to see go toe to toe with Haye

Not really, but the heavyweight division could always use another big name.
I just don't think his heart is in it anymore. He was pretty good, exciting fighter a few years ago.
He's generally exciting to watch and people buy into his public persona.
You are quite correct though, summed him up well.
The level of excitement he provides when he does set foot in the ring is way out of proportion to the endless false promises and waiting around fans have to endure in the interim. When was his last exciting fight? Chisora, three years ago. Before that? Ruiz, five years ago. Fuck that. If you want to watch an athletic looking knockout artist knocking over bowling pins there's tons to choose from. Wilder, Parker, AJ... Almost all of them fight more regularly than Haye does. Why put yourself through that torture for a miniscule amount of gain?
Hell NO! Haye is a joke. Why do people like him? He's everything that's wrong with boxing. Talented, lazy, broke. He's only fighting for one opportunity at a big paycheck. He's not interested in getting a world championship. He wants a big payday and out the game. **** that guy.

hes like 35 now, hes past it and looses to fury. i think hes just talking enough smack to get a big fight and cash out like the others said. if he fights fury he will talk a lot leading up to the fight just like his wlad fight and then on fight night stink out the joint running away all night
No. The mouthy cunt was more trouble than he was worth, and I doubt he's made a sea change in his attitude now. People still want to see him fight, for some unfathomable reason, so there's at least the possibility of some decent matchups down the line, but I honestly don't relish the thought of having to listen to his rancid BS any longer while waiting around for fights that never materialise.
Haye is athletically gifted. If he can be as good as he was before his lay-off he can possibly be heavyweight champion. He was a very good fighter. I'm not a big fan. He has a big mouth and his fight with Wlad looked like a guy who was mostly trying to avoid getting knocked out. Then he dropped out of the fight with Fury twice.....So, as a fighter he's very good but he's got some proving to do for me before I get excited about his return. Hopefully he does well.
Obviously haye brings excitement... He fought a no-hoper and drew 3 million viewers and a huge live gate.. Every boxer not named klitchko, floyd, manny, cotto, canelo would kill for those numbers
I really hope he fights Shannon Briggs. Wilder ducked his ass and that piece of **** Dan Rafael stole Briggs' thunder by FALSELY REPORTING that Briggs turned down the fight because he has a personal vendetta against Briggs.
Briggs said he heard Haye is interested in fight him next. Fingers crossed.
