Roach turned Cotto from a guy who was easily beaten by Trout into the middleweight champion of the world. Unfortunately for Pascal, he is just not good enough to have a prayer of beating Kovalev even with Roach training him.
You mean he beat a one legged middleweight and than lost to the 155 pound world champ
Robert Garcia obviously did a tremendous job with Chino Maidana
Are you sure it wasn't the Alex Ariza Protein Shake. He beat Floyds A$$ in the first fight than lost the second and the winner of that 2nd fight was Taking The Alex Ariza Protein shake and probably more
say what you want about roach but he did greatly improved pac in a span of 10months. Pac came from being a one handed fighter to being able to throw both hands with the same caliber with the left and pac learned to place his shots accurately. its what shocked morales in their second fight.

When were some times when a trainer drastically improved a fighter, fixing holes in their games?
Manny Steward with Lennox Lewis and Waladimir Klitschko.
I completely agree. :) I thought Khan would KO Algieri with some tactical new body punches at 147. The power wasn't even there, and I've been really impressed with Algieri since Pac or even Ruslan. Personally, I think Algieri should just fight Conor McGregor and make a huge name for himself.
It's what happens when you get trained by a proper professional, and not some random high school friend who did a bit of MMA.
The obvious example is Peter Fury turning Tyson from a joke to the unified HW champion.
Another example would be JDJ & Chris Algieri. He looked a completely different fighter against Khan than he did against Ruslan & Manny.
