Excuse my lack of knowledge at lower weight classes but i'll list a few fights that i think captured the imagination of fans on this website.
so if you had the ability to make any fight this year, which fight would you make.
personally as you know i am a vivid GGG fan, so for me its Canelo vs. GGG as top fight but not too far down the list it would be GGG vs. Ward.
what about you?
Good list, but I wouldn't be surprised if most of them don't happen this year.
Wilder vs Fury
Wish list
Give me Provodnikov vs Rios, I know Rios looked bad, but this fight has fight of the year written all over it. Rios don't want to end career against Bradley, Provodnikov is always there to be hit.
Kovalev vs Beterbiev great matchup with a history.
Cotto vs Margarito 3, if Tony wins tune up, this fight would be close. Tony was coming on in the rematch, before his eye couldn't hold up.
Thats right and one great performance and all the fans come running back instantly , boxing is fickle .
Yep.. Hopefully someday soon he would be involved in an exciting, big fight. I'm not a fan of his but I respect his skills.
That's very true. I wonder what he's thinking. Fans have a short memory and, if he doesn't do something real quick, he'll be forgotten about completely.

Meanwhile Ward is too busy derailing his own career.

I voted Ward vs Kovalev since I think that it will decide the #1 P4P fighter.
My runners up would be GGG/Canelo and Wilder/Fury. The former might become even more interesting if Canelo gets a decent win at 160 first.
... decided to go with Ward-Golovkin, for the simple fact that it answers the biggest question that's facing boxing at the moment: how good is Gennady Golovkin really?
I think Ward beats the breaks off of him, but if Golovkin can somehow make it through the fight and win, he launches as one of the sport's next biggest star and the world opens up to him.
Having Ward's scalp on his ledger, after headlining a massive show (in New York or Las Vegas) and picking up a good PPV buyrate (likely not astronomical, but the fight is big enough to get the boxing hype machine going), the Alvarez fight becomes a no brainer for everyone.
I went with that too. Ward would derail the hypetrain.:boxing:
Had it down to Ward-Golovkin or Kovalev-Stevenson
