First of all, for whatever reason I missed the fact that Charles Martin and Glazkov fought for the IBF heavyweight title. I think I remember the IBF said they were gonna strip Tyson Fury of the belt but I did not know who and when the vacant belt would be at stake.
So now finally today I got to see this fight. And what a joke that was. Glazkov goes down from a non-existing punch, then suddenly on the ground he realises he did not get hit really so he decides to touch his knee. Then I said to myself that this has to be the most pathetic way anybody won a portion of the heavyweight crown.
I do see something but not a complete ACL tear, MCL tear and dislocation as Glozkov is saying. I actually tore both and dislocated my knee in high school football and didn't get up directly after.
Looked like a hyperextension of the knee... Which I have had done later in life and I give him the fact he handled that well. That **** hurts like no other.
Agree, the fight didn't deserve to be for a title.
Martin hasn't beat anyone, he even tried to take credit for the injury.
As bad a Wilder's level of competition is/was, Martin has by far done the least ever to win a heavyweight title.
