The only thing that interests me about Charles Martin is finding out whether he has tattoo's on his tummy or he fell asleep with his shirt off near a 7 year old with a biro.
The crowd was mostly there to see Szpilka. Mostly poles by what I was hearing & watching. That is why Golota got 4 title shots because he could pack MSG. Szpilka looks like he can draw a decent polish crowd.
Yeah, the MSG crowd def seemed more Polish, or at the very least, they were the loudest section but that doesn't change the fact that a fight, marketed as an all American heavyweight showdown would do decent business in the US. Showtime/Haymon will probably make it PPV.
In an ideal world, Wilder would fight and beat Martin for his Ibf belt, then fight Fury for all the belts. Harsh for Povetkin but Fury could give him a shot straight after beating Wilder. Povetkin then has a shot at all the belts not just the WBC.

With the situation we have now that would be a good solution. We need the quickest route to unifying the titles and hopefully getting to see Fury-Wilder meet before it drags on too long.
Right now Fury is the legitimate champion but it would be good to see the belts unified to stop the confusion among the casual fan that may view a guy like Prince Charles as a legitimate world champion.

That should be changed to a No Decision and title still vacant.
No... it isn't about "should be"... that mockup fight actually was a 'No Decision' action, under all the rules -- therefore, the decision must be changed to a ND.
"The Prince" won't last long. One defense at best.
If he fights a good opponent then yes, If he fights a 'mandatory' we all know how they work I'm sure he could keep it longer.
LOOL It was horrendous and Martin looked high af. Having said that, I feel the right guy won because if Wilder can get past Povetkin, which looks unlikely, Martin v Wilder would do decent business in the US.The crowd was mostly there to see Szpilka. so which rule is it that you have a problem with and what do you think the rule should be?
for most of these whiners, the rule should be.....
"If an existing rule has a negative affect on a fighter I like, then that rule is stupid and should not be enforced"
Whatever that was that I just watched.
Smh

The Good thing is that Anthony Joshua could be Martin's mandatory very soon so that is a Positive for Joshua to have the opportunity to win a World Championship
To be fair, I do think Martin is better than what he was able to showcase last night
Glazkov was a pretty weak challenger but he managed to 'win' his fights against decent name opposition. As to Charles Martin, how the hell did this guy get such a lofty ranking? Before this fight, no one really knew about this guy or had seen any of this fights.
On paper, this fight looked like it could be fireworks, but WOW, sure as hell didn't play out that way. With all the talent in the division today it's a shame that these two clowns are vying for a world title.
Wonder what Martin will do next? Will the IBF allow him some optional defenses?
LMAO another day on RACISTScene... Yes blame the black guys (Haymon and Martin) instead of the coward who quit and the manager who took this clear route. SMH if Kathy Duva was black y'all would call for her to be stoned. Glazkov and Duva are the ones who ducked a harder fight to get this fight and look 2hat happened. Ibf actually follows it's rules which is what most of u people who never been in a ring always crying about. Fraud fans.
What? When did race have anything to do with this topic? You need to go back to page one a read the whole topic before you just rant nonsense.

I think a prior-agreed upon rematch clause should have precedence over a mandatory defense. Or at the very least it should be communicated in advance, as part of the contract for the original bout, whether the winner of the fight needs to fight the mandatory defense immediately or whether an immediate rematch is acceptable. In other words I think this needs to be a case by case thing - it seems unfair to me that Fury was stripped of a title he rightfully earned and unfair to me that a long reigning champion like Klitschko will not get the right to fight for that title in the rematch - this is a case where the IBF should have used better judgment.
Taking a title away from someone who literally cannot agree to fight both the mandatory defense and the mandatory rematch in their next bout is retarded.
Those complaining that people will whine either way should realize that the issue is not whether organizations press for their mandatories but rather it is about who they pick and how the mandatory obligations are enforced.
