Depends on what you mean by career. The hype would end but he would still be able to make a career out of boxing. He'd essentially be in the same boat as Bute.
Almost got the entire card already filled out. :lol1:

Was that too much to process, sorry alt?
You try to make it sound as though this fairytale validates you butthurt, see last paragraph. It's too dumb, its like me saying
What if Canelo gets dominated and destroyed by Rosado? This is exactly why I've been saying they shouldn't have invested in the hypejob..
Capiche, a$$wipe?

Relax kid, Jesus some of you Gargle fans act as if it's your own flesh and blood being attacked. He hasn't faced anyone elite and if he loses to his first decent step up, his career is pretty much done. That's my opinion to the OP's question.

This exactly is a what if fairytale, dumbsh1t. GGG destroying Canelo is far more likely, making him 10x bigger than Kovalev, stupid

Yup, 34 years of age without a single decent win. Finally faces a decent foe in Canelo, a career Jr MW, and gets destroyed. That's a recipe for career suicide. People will know that he wasn't elite from the get-go, and all the hype fades away.
This is exactly why I said HBO should have used Kovalev as their media hype creation, but they chose the inferior fighter.

Career over, no. Major rebuilding with not much time to do it, yes. Anyways, in theory, interstellar travel is possible, but no one is doing it.
On a sidenote, the no draw crap is some seriously delusional ****. How many fighters in all of boxing are pulling better numbers(not just ppv) than GGG? Its a very short list.
dominated as in beat up and kncoked out?
a bad beating in boxing can end your life, nevermind your career.
of course his career could be over.
this is an odd, odd thread, larry. even for you. i understand that you saw golovkin as a threat to floyd, but let's be honest, floyd had no business at 160 lbs.
Now he's not a draw? He sold out StubHub and MSG. 2 different coasts.. Tell me who else can do that? Floyd,Manny,Canelo,Cotto, and who else?
If he loses he loses...then he's not as good as everyone thought or Canelo has taken a big step forward since Floyd dominated him...most guys lose, that's life.
because that's not his basis, he doesnt care about those who attend the match, he prolly attended a ward fight with free ticket and a cheap hotdog :lol1:
I'm sure if Canelo won by a round it would still be considered "domination" because of Golovkins "boogeyman" aura, and then we can all pretend like people weren't ducking him.
Nah, he can just finally move up and fight someone at 168 since 160 would be dry besides maybe a Canelo rematch.
His aura would be broken, and his confidence would be shot to ****. I can see Sanchez having a mental breakdown if somehow Canelo was to dominate Golovkin in the fight.
GGG has almost all the advantages going in besides negotiations pulls, big fight experience, top competition experience, hand speed, counter punching and upper body movement.
This is a fight where Canelo is expected to lose and most fighters wouldn't take since he essentially doesn't need it.
Nonetheless there will be no if when they fight, I see Canelo doing well for 3 or 4 rounds max then Golovkin starts to take over and knocks him out in the 6th.
His trainers need to devise plans on footwork, clinching, hit below the belt tricks, and phonebooth style work outs.
His entire promotion is that he is the boogyman and that everyone fears him...If Canelo dominates him where does he go from there?
Yea it should be theoretically. He just isn't a big draw and I don't see how he continues to rise without facing Canelo, Quillin, Jacobs or Cotto.
