Golden Boy Promotions President Oscar De La Hoya says his platinum guided missile Saul "Canelo" Alvarez is destined to disappoint a whole host of Gennady "GGG" Golovkin fans, when Saul - who's the WBC middleweight champion, and interim-champion Gennady - collide in the ring.

Ward moved to LHW about 2 minutes ago, he has never even fought at 175.
According to recent reports he is signed to fight Barrera then Kovalev.
Why did you suggest that Ward fight Stevenson or Hopkins ?
Why not Kovalev, who everyone regards as the best in the division ?
Oh right, because you know that fight is in the pipeline, and you needed some fresh whinge-material.
Chill, give the guy a chance to settle in with Barrera.
When Ward beats Kovalev, what will you guys have to cry about ?
I suggested those fights cause I know Ward wanted a warmup and the only fights that would change my thoughts on the Ward-Kovalev fight would be those two. Even if he beats Barerra it doesnt give him any credibility in the division and would not show anything. However, Adonis is a current champ who has a belt and B-Hop is still a great technician. Barerra isnt a fight that shows anything about Ward. Sullivan hasnt fought any real tough opponents and is going into a fight Ward knew he could win. He shoulda went straight for the Kovalev fight, but keeps *****ing. Make a fight already!
Ward isn't a lightheavyweight the same way Canelo isn't a middleweight. IF YOU FIGHT IN CATCHWEIGHTS AND NEVER FACE A OPPONENT FROM THE DIVISION, THEN IT'S NOT YOUR DIVISION.
IF Ward had balls he would face Adonis Stevenson or Bernard Hopkins. I mean c'mon, he has to face a lightheavyweight at some point. And his promotion allows him that, I don't see HBO denying the fight cause Ward is a worse draw than Golovkin's PPV buys.

amusing :lol1:
I think your post is total rubbish.
1) Ward is now a LHW, he has moved on to bigger and better things
2) IF Ward beats Kovalev, he eclipses Golovkins entire career in 1 fight
Just think about point #2 for a sec.
Because IF Ward beats Kovalev, and he eclipses Golovkins entire career in 1 fight..... Golovkin will be known as " lil'G " for the rest of his life.
He will be forever known as the talker who did not have the balls to fight Ward.
Just saying.....

yeah but you know Paul Smith an Murdock are top of the line. who am I to say anything. It's not like Golovkin actually has a belt. This chick Ward got nothing right now, no draw, no belt, no division.
Ward is looking like Canelo right now. Bull**** division, catchweights... but Canelo doesnt only have to fight in Mexico to get a crowd, Ward has to keep his ass in Oakland if he wants pay from Rocnation.

I know that comparing the rehydration weights of 2 boxers is a reliable indication of how they compared in weight and size before they dehydrated for the weigh in. And the rehydration weights of Canelo and GGG leave no doubt at all that Canelo is naturally the bigger of the 2 men.
I know that 75% of muscle mass is water, and that as soon as a fighter starts taking in water and nutrients after making weight his body will begin the process of returning itself to the same state and condition it was in before he dehydrated himself.
I know that the body of a young man like Canelo will complete that rehydration process faster and more efficiently than the body of a man in his 30's, like GGG. The fact that Canelo has put himself through this process many times in the past will give him even more of an advantage. The human body is a very adaptable machine.
I also know that boxers do not actually "out-grow" weight divisions in their late 20's/early 30's.
What happens that they begin to find the process of getting down to fighting weight more draining and tiring, so that they can't train as hard as they could when they were younger.
They also find that the time between weigh in and fight is no longer sufficient for their body to recover and rehydrate enough for them to put in a good performance.
You don't know sh1t kid. You are clueless about boxing, and you have no feel for the game whatsoever.
You think boxing is like a maths game, or a video-game, but it simply isn't.
Firstly, everyone is different, there is no tale-of-the-tape when it comes to physiology..... stop thinking that you can read Canelo like the back of a cereal box, foolio.
You are an utter retard for attempting to argue that Canelo is bigger than Golovkin..... especially considering the fact that he has never undertaken a training camp that was designed to prepare him for 160, and especially considering the fact that he has never fought a middleweight opponent.
Why do you dump your pride and integrity because of your creepy man-love for a boxer who doesn't even know you exist? :lol1:
For the last time kid..... 160 > 155.
Canelo weighed 160 at the 7-day weigh-in, foolio.
Any boxer who publicly called out a smaller man..... then refused to even discuss a CW, would be viewed as a cherry picking coward.

So, according to you (today)..... 155 is middleweight.
Well, based on that, let us consider the three factors.....
1) Golovkin recently stated that he can beat " anyone from 154-160 "

2) According to you, 155 is middleweight
3) According to you..... "Any boxer who publicly called out a smaller man..... then refused to even discuss a CW, would be viewed as a cherry picking coward"
So, based on those 3 factors, it is HIGHLY REASONABLE to expect Golovkin to accept that fight.
Right ?
Right, so..... you do not hold Lovekin to his word..... and you have very low standards/expectations from him.
Right ?

Get real willya !!
1) an adult human being is 100% responsible for the words/actions of his OFFICIAL REPRESENTATIVES
2) Golovkin has supported that statement himself on numerous occasions
Listen to Ward's take on the lies from Team Golovkin. Ward stated that if James Prince or Jay-Z makes a statement concerning Ward, then he is 100% responsible/accountable for that....
Come on man, on what planet can you can get your boys to talk sh1t and then simply walk away saying "it wasn't me"?
Ward's hairline is looking worse than his career
Only casual fans talk about rehydration weight.
The total amount of conditioning and functional muscle-mass that you can take into a fight is determined at the official weigh-in..... rehydration weight (or water-weight) will not affect that, and can even be detrimental.
Wouldn't you know that, Mr boxing guy ?
160 > 155.

Youre wrong again, Golovkin didn't state that he could fight anyone at 154-168, Abel Sanchez did. And you Golovkin haters love to bring up how un-credible Sanchez is. So now that it's beneficial to your weak argument you take his word?

Canelo is not a smaller man than GGG. He fights in the same division and his last recorded fight night weight was actually 5lbs heavier than Golovkin's against Lemieux.
And GGG has never said that he would fight Canelo, or any other MW, at 155lbs.
Why then, would it be reasonable to expect him to put himself at a disadvantage by weighing in at 155 for a fight with an official sanctioned weight limit of 160?

Canela is gonna get KTFO. It's gonna take more than 8 rounds but I think GGG is still a killer throughout the whole fight. And for those who say 155 is still middleweight, YOUR ARE RIGHT. But so is 156,157,158,159 and 160. So if you prevent your opponent from coming in at any of those weights you cannot be a middleweight champ. For all the Ward stans and Canela groupies, Stop covering up your hatred for GGG and just come out with it. You desperately want GGG to fail and will stand behind any fighter you think can do it.
