April: Pacquiao vs TBA
May: Canelo vs TBA
June: Proposed HBO PPV Kovalev vs Stevenson
September: Canelo vs TBA/GGG
And now "Fall 2016": Kovalev vs Ward http://boxingjunkie.com/2015/11/21/sergey-kovalev-vs-andre-ward-light-heavyweight-title-fight-signed-for-hbo-ppv/
Five PPVs in 6 months? What is HBO doing? Do they even have any fights left for regular HBO?
Canelo vs Rosado is a sh*t fight, I would not support that unless it's part of a split site ppv like the one Sugar Adam Ali suggested.
Pacquiao vs Bradley III is so unappealing to me that it's not even funny. The only way I'd even consider buying is if the undercard was stacked. But it's Top Rank so you know that is never going to happen.
Canelo-Golovkin and Ward-Kovalev would be the only ones I'd happily come out of pocket for. Kovalev-Stevenson as well but that one better be reasonably priced or have interesting supporting fights.
you dont have to be rich to contribute. Ever stopped by your local amateur gym to help out with a fundraiser? Ever volunteered your time on a weekend to help out with a PAL tournament? Ever volunteered a few evenings just to go hold mitts for the kids? I'm betting youve never done a damn thing to help out the sport. Sure, you throw your little insults at guys like me because we're easy targets, but you yourself contribute nothing at all.
You want to know whats wrong with the sport? Take a good long look in the mirror. Its guys like you that are killing it. Always complaining, but never contributing.
Oh boy here we go with I did this, that,Blah, blah, blah. When I look in the mirror I see a person who loves boxing again I could careless about your duck tales. Save that for your tell all book homie.
Saint Terry of Boxing hahaha fvck out of here with that mierda.
No no no that's not what I heard. Your boxing cards are a joke, who you kidding??
I could care less about Promoters, managers and networks. I'm about boxing watching the best fight the best. Fan of the sport not the business side. I don't like to imagine how my Miami Dolphins agents, GM, front office and owner try so hard to produce a sport that speaks for itself without their help. Same thing goes for boxing so please spare me the boxing business tales.
Slamming posters who don't want to buy PPV's.......sorry rich man we all don't beat on the same drum.

Nate made over $1 million while he was with me, and the last thing he feels is "ripped off" jackass

I think I speak for the posters who read your posts as a whole. Your nothing but a spoiled rich douchebag, go to a boxing promoter, network or manager forum with your crap.
It would be a awesome Christmas gift to see Nate Campbell knock your block off after you ripped him off.

then feel free to ignore me instead of writing a novel asswipe
and if you cant afford a ppv then maybe start a gofundme page or panhandle

Terry you are a washed up promoter so we can care less about your boxing business philosophy. If the boxingscene forum family doesn't want to buy PPV's and stream it. I support them
You sound like those music industry and movie industry greedy bastards that get all pissed when people are buying pirated copies for crappy movies and albums. Telling someone that they are cheap because they don't want to spend $60-70 on a boxing PPV card is kinda lame.
Enough with the PPV model unless it's a stack PPV event nobody wants to buy one fight priced at $60-70. I blame Mayweather,Pacquiao and Cotto for damaging the sport since they have been grossly overpaid. Fighters better stop thinking they are worth more than they really are.
then feel free to ignore me instead of writing a novel asswipe. youre just another nobody who has never contributed a damn thing to the sport. All you do is run your mouth.
Put up some money and run a show. Or do what I did and run 50 shows. But you wont, because that takes time, effort, and money. All you can do is TALK, and try to downplay people that actually did something.
and if you cant afford a ppv then maybe start a gofundme page or panhandle
most of the "fans" here are just big mouths who like to act like they are big timers but when a ppv comes around they are like "pm stream please".
deadbeats. Cant even spend a few bucks......

I do think it makes Promoters reluctant to put up the money for these big matchups without knowing for sure if they will make a Profit from the event so THIS is the reason why I suggest that fans support because Promoters and Investors have to know that if they put up the Money, will they get their Money Back and a Profit or will they struggle to break even

True. GGG vs. Canelo on Cinco de Mayo weekend would do numbers. Pac v Crawford is a toss up and Kov v Stevenson is an unknown. Even so, they're marketable matchups that can get people excited if promoted properly.

Boxing could load up the cards anytime they wanted to. A UFC PPV does good if it sells 400k. Boxing gots to do 1M+ for it not to be a failure in about half of fans minds. UFC puts on events, Boxing puts on fights. Thats the difference with the sports across the board. And really thats the US market largely cuz the UK PPV's (that I've seen anyway) do a good job of making a PPV event with many interesting fights. US PPV's are one fight + filler fights, maybe one legit interesting fight if we're lucky. This is why people ***** about PPV's. The entire value of the PPV is put on one fight & not into an event. Idk I just know I completely understand people being unhappy with how boxing puts forth PPV cards & its a model which is destined to fail while continuing to make boxing a smaller & smaller niche sport.
Good reply, I really don't disagree at all however when it comes to the UFC, the reason why they would be good with selling 400K is also because they have Big Fox TV Deal on top of the fact that their fighters really don't make big money besides a few of their Top Draws
That might be true, but I will ask this...can someone actually Prove that Casuals are just as excited for those 3 Match Ups at this very moment just as much as Hardcore Boxing Fans?
Part of having a successful PPV is having Casuals just as interested in a match up as Hardcore Fight Fans!
GGG vs Lemeiux Flopped because Casuals was clueless to that match up and had no clue who either was but more so Lemeiux

I doubt Canelo's tune up for Golovkin will be on PPV. It'll be regular HBO.
Canelo's stay busy fight will not air on PPV.
I mean, it's gonna be against Rosado FFS.
It might be if it's a split site PPv with golovkin co-main eventing..
I can see hbo PPv
New York- Golovkin vs Saunders or Eubanks , with roman gonzalez on indercard
Las Vegas/Texas/LA Canelo vs rosado, with maybe Estrada on the undercard..
Sets up roman-Estrada 2 for the summer and canelo/GGG in the fall..
Only way I can see it on PPv
We wouldn't be having this discussion if the scheduled fights were GGG vs. Canelo and Pac vs Crawford along with Stevenson vs. Kovalev.

Was just watching Eddie Hearn interview with Krugan talking about the negativity for PPV's and then the Joshua fight turning around and doing very well.
You know what...SHUT THE FUK UP BOXING FANS! So you mean to tell me UFC fans can support their sport by buy PPV's Once a month but Boxing Fans are B1tching about a few PPV Events a year while most of the year boxing is Free or on Subscription TV?
Stop being CHEAP, boxing really don't ask you for much but yet fans sure do ask for A LOT but yet they don't want to pay for sh1t
If I was Oscar and Tom Loeffler tell the fans hey you know what, lets see how much you guys want GGG vs Canelo, support their next PPV and if the Numbers comeback good for both...THEN THEY WILL FIGHT! I love this sport 100% and I don't think that would be asking for much. Both Pacquiao and Mayweather was putting up big PPV Numbers so it was clear the fans wanted to see them fight, I think it should be the same for GGG and Canelo.
You want them to fight? OK PROVE IT! Start buying their PPV's!
Fighters have to be PAID so yeah Promoters need to do a couple of PPV's to make a profit. Can't just depend on Ticket Sales to pay everybody involved with the Event on top of keeping your promotion going

Believe me if it's up to HBO all these fights would be on regular subscription. This is all about promoters and fighters' greed. You get a guy like TBE, for example, and you won't even break even.
Wtf did I just read? You're a f*cking fool if you think buying all these PPV's actually "help" boxing as a sport. LMAO
Gullible people nowadays man.
Yeah Because not supporting the sport you claim to love will help it even more right? :lol1:

Kovalev vs Stevenson is ppv? WTF
F1ck no. Kovalev vs Ward might be though. But Kovalev vs anyone else is an absolute NO.
Also, Canelo vs Rosado is not PPV worthy. I will stream that. And I encourage everyone else to do the same.
We can't keep being force fed sh1t.

FIVE HBO PPVs in 6 months...WTF!?!?! | BoxingScene Community
