I think after he beat Jennings he should fight Povetkin, good fight and winner takes on Wilder next. Im going with Ortiz on this one, think he has the physicality and skills to trouble Povetkin all night.
What you guys think?
For some reason I can't see Ortiz getting passed Povetkin. I think it comes down to a little physicality, which Povetkin utilizes very well. Although, I will say Ortiz had made me a fan in the Kayode fight, so I'd be rooting for him. I just think he might be one of those fighters who is prone to mental lapses, and physical fighters tend to do well in assuring those fighters fumble mentally as soon as it begins.
agreed, this is exactly how i see this going, sasha late stoppage or makes ortiz quit on his stool, solisesque V thompson.
This Ortiz dude is a true monster for anyone in the heavy weight division..Tyson fury wouldn't last with this dude if he comes in shape and on his A game..if Cunningham laid hands on him Ortiz will to except he's a full fledged hw with quick hands and power. Wilder and him would be a hell of a scrap but same as fury if he comes in shape on his A game it could be lights out for deontay as well. Hes not a typical hw ...he gives angles, punches like a mule and is deadly accurate..sort of like a hw Lara/rigondeaux type.
Accurate, yes. But please don't compare Ortiz to those two. Luis actually comes to fight. He's exciting.
Ortiz is in a very tough position. Povetkin might be the only guy willing to fight him. Wilder will not. Fury will not. I don't know if Joshua or Parker's people will allow them at this point.
I think it was Dan Cov that posted an interview with Fury where Tyson trashed pretty much every heavyweight mentioned, until Ortiz's name came up. He called Luis "a dangerous cunt." Lol
On a related note: why does HBO have Lampley tell everyone to "stay away from Ortiz"?
I get he is hyping him up, but he literally said guys with big plans ahead should avoid Ortiz at all costs. Then he will be complaining about it when those fighters actually do just what he said.
Lol So true.

No doubt Povetkin will push him, i see where your coming from too, although i see Ortiz having success with his movement and catching povetkin coming in and frustrating him.
If he does have mental lapses however povetkin will ensure he wakes his ass up with one of those russian hooks! (or put him to sleep lol)

Him vs Fury would be a good fight but I think Fury has shown the elite level capabilities with his movement, Ring IQ but Fury also has said himself to stay clear of him. I think Fury outpoints him or even gets a late stoppage.
Jennings was never that great a boxer so itll be intriguing to see him fight someone with good boxing skills.

Fury wouldn't approach an Ortiz fight with the same mentality he went in with Cunningham ffs. Just like how he didn't against Klitschko
In a Fury-Ortiz fight, Fury takes the fight to the inside and roughs him up. Ortiz needs space to operate and Fury will deny it him.
Ortiz eventually gasses and Fury wins a close but clear decision.

Ortiz honestly is the best heavyweight in the division. I'd bet my money he beats everyone. I dunno if he'd be as strong as he is without his PEDS.. but damn, he's a real deal.
If anyone would beat him, it might be Fury UD.. but Ortiz is pretty ****ing fast and hits much harder. This guy is going to give hell to everyone.
It's too bad he's fvcking 36
