I would be massively surprised if this fight ever happened but if it did I think it would be am amazing fight with the main source of tension coming from how long Wilder's glass jaw could last.
Wilder will end up looking like the Heavyweight version of Alien Berto.

Ortiz by KO.
I'd like to amend this post to say that if Ortiz comes in at 260, it's possible for Wilder to win a decision by jabbing and staying away. That said Ortiz <230lbs KO Wilder 10/10.
I knew him for a year or two from his beastly ko's getting caught juicing. Do you say that Ortiz has no chance at all against Wilder?
I think they both have a great chance against eachother but i wont go any further till the "Ortiz may be the greatest HW ever" or "Ortiz beats Ali" threads come out....from this 1 victory.
They knew his name...as a steroid cheat but now he beat Jennings and no HW can handle him.
NSB....SMH....

hmm Wilder would try to fight a very safe fight. Mainly looking to jab. Ortiz by KO maybe by rd 3.
Wilder's jab? What jab? lol...Against a Cuban boxer of Ortiz's stature? lol...Ortiz will make Wilder look like an amateur that he is then knocks him out...Wilder can thank uncle Hymen the fight's never going to happen...
I predicted Ortiz will make Wilder his bit ch back in October when he was on the undercard of GGG/Lemieux...nothings changing now...
Last week nobody knew Ortiz' name. Now he's supposed to be a top HW since he beat Jennings?

I usually give Wilder at least a puncher's chance in most fantasy matches, but there's no way he puts a dent in the tank Ortiz. Which basically means he has no chance at all, since he can't box for toffee against even average guys. Ortiz would abuse him like he was his step son, and Wilder would likely be traumatised for the rest of his career. There's a huge gulf in class between these two.
I don't think Ortiz would land those uppercuts and hooks on Wilder so easily. Jennings didn't really have enough speed, boxing ability, nor did he have the power to keep Ortiz off of him consistently. I have Ortiz blowing and puffing as Wilder takes him the full 12, outlands him, and takes a unanimous decision.
:lol1: This^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
King Kong ices Bomber....probably EARLY
King Kong was looking like a southpaw George Foreman out there lol Jennings is a tough mofo you can tell he's a philly fighter!

Wilder is tall and has a long reach, if he can maintain the distance like he did versus Stiverne, he has a chance of taking the fight and testing Ortiz's stamina and age, after all, the Cuban is 36 and by the time this fight rolls around, if it does, he may be 37 or 38. Age beats 'em all and someone like Ortiz, it maybe beat him earlier.
Having said that, Ortiz is a very good fighter, skilled with solid power and I've rated him for quite a while now. I believe his best route to a top fight will be through Chagaev/Browne, leading to a possible fight with Fury once the gypsy king is done with the Wlad rematch. Or possibly the winner of Glazkov/Martin.
The WBC is not the route to go for him.
