The advantage Haye has is he is extremely accurate and explosive.
Joshua has that robotic rhythm that a guy with instincts like Haye can read and ambush.
All Whyte had was bravery and some good body punches.
Haye at his best would fold Joshua.
The doubt is around how much Haye has left.
The assumption is that if Joshua loses a fight he will be exposed. What would be so terrible if he lost a fight to Haye?
People think a lot of Haye since his departure. he is an ambush fighter unless he fights a man like Chisora who did not have the power to put him out but wanted to duke it out....So yeah this was perfect for Haye.
For once the size nuts might have the makings of an argument in this fight. Haye beating Valuev is ridiculous because Valuev has no power to speak of. Haye would have to catch Joshua with a flush shot, Haye is not a particularly good finisher, his game is to catch the man with a big shot coming in fleet of foot.
If Joshua prepared for Haye and learned from this fight with Whyte I think he could take Haye, or at least make a great fight with Haye. All haye really has is pure fleet of foot, Joshua just has to stick a jab in his face continually.
Its true that the Joshua that fought Whyte would lose to Haye, BUT, if Joshua learns a few things from that fight, and improves he should be ready to be competative with Haye. And why does every fighter have to be undefeated these days!?
Obviously a Haye KO victory would have been close to 100% certainty a couple years back..
NOW it's more like 70% - with Joshua in with a chance based on uncertainties about Haye's current capabilities.
Hughie Fury would fold biscuit chin Joshua like a chair, never mind Tyson Fury or David Haye
Tyson would and Haye also.
Hughie? Not a chance
Joshua is extremely powerful despite his flaky chin and fairly shit stamina but he can take out most in 4 with that kind of power
Haye ko's him in 4 rounds if he has enough left in the tank. Haye gassed too and has **** punch output so joshua would have a slim chance. But if i were hearn id bang him in with price. Keep him away from chisora for now maybe put chisora in with whyte and the winner fights aj
Why does David Haye get so much attention? Cause of his hair? He's irrelevant.
Let Joshua fight Hughie Fury.
That's a mismatch. Hughie hasn't matured, physically, yet, needs to attain his man strength, he's still only 21. Joshua beats him on size, strength and power., right now. Hughie's just not tough enough to deal with him.
But give it a few years, it might be a different story, as I think Hughie is much better technically and fundamentally than Joshua. But right now it'd be man against boy.
If Haye is even 90% of what he was, he wins.
He would be able to land on Joshua, he's much more mobile and quicker than Whyte. Haye has massive power too and if he had Joshua hurt like Whyte did, Joshua wouldn't have made it out of the round. Haye is a very good finisher once he smells blood.
Why does David Haye get so much attention? Cause of his hair? He's irrelevant.
Let Joshua fight Hughie Fury.
He's still relevant as a boxer if he doesn't lose his next fight, which he should not. He will let people know their level
anthony beats haye, only because I highly doubt we will see haye who fought wlad or chissora ever again. I suspect haye will be shell of himself.
on he other hand, I think fury toys with aj atm.
no one can say. the haye of 5 years ago win's.
we have no idea where haye is at so pointless thread.
Haye is a very smart guy he wouldn't make a comeback unless he felt he still had it but i suppose Hayes possibly not sure himself thats why he's chosen a lower ranked fighter for a comeback just to see if he can make someone below elite look like a tomato can
Too big a step for Joshua right now. Give him Chisora or Pulev next. He just needs to face a few more decent contenders before fighting the likes of Haye or Povetkin
i think pulev is too big of a step right now, but chisora is a pick em fight. i would favor chisora though, especially if joshua doesnt take him out early.
