After his performance tonight, he has terrible stamina.. slow as molasses passed the 4th, but I'll give him a check for power. He definitely has KO power...
I think AJ is an overrated hype job, if Dillian was more accurate and had decent stamina he would of taken the cake honestly.
Tyson Fury, Wladimir Klitschko, Bryant Jennings (possible), Deontay Wilder, and Alexander Povetkin ALL beat AJ. Unless AJ clears them out within 4.
A couple questions have been answered in this fight.
AJ's chin is flaky, that's a definite answer.
AJ's stamina is garbage.
What would fighting Price achieve? The guy is finished, he'd be beaten before he stepped in the ring, and a punch from AJ would leave him a twitching heap on the floor.
Price would be a joke of a fight.
Joshua needs to work his way up to guys like Teper in the next 5 fights
Its funny people mentioning all of Joshs shortcomings and weakness and how unimpressed they are of him and hes not going to go all the way?
People were saying that about Tyson fury before he beat Wlad. So you don't have to be that great to be a heavyweight champ. Not everyone is Ali and you don't have to resemble Ali.
He needs 18months -24 months / 5-10 more fights before thinking about world honors. What is the rush?
I would fight -
Price
Chisora
Whyte 2
Browne
Thompson
Then see where he is at.

Possibly lose 7-9lbs of muscle. Then see where hes at.
He has a lot of work to do. Wilder or Fury what destroy him at this point.
Whyte is nothing special. He's not rated outside of the UK and is very slow. And he gave AJ all he could handle and then some. AJ was slow on his feet as always and was getting lit up by Whyte's slow jab and combos. Imagine someone with the hand speed and feet of Wilder or Fury lighting him up.
That said if he can cut some bulk, work on his footwork and improve his head movement and jab he can be elite. He has the talent, just needs at least 5 more fights before he's world title ready
I didn't watch the fight yet. Actually, several people responding didn't watch it either. It wasn't even shown on US tv.
But in the heavyweight division, you don't have to be amazing to be one of the best.
I haven't seen enough of Joshua to know if he is great, but he is clearly one of the best heavyweights.
Just watched the fight and was not impressed with Joshua.Big power and decent hand speed with both hands, but other than that, not much.
No head movement, little mobility and footwork, bad stamina, doesn't seem to be that advanced strategically.
6'6" and an 82" reach...

Seems like people have done with Joshua the same thing they are doing with Beterbiev, where they are assuming both men can do what Lomachenko or Rigondeaux have done and think they are failures if they can't. Joshua is still stepping up and he needs experiences like this to get better.
If Joshua's counter-punching was that good, he should've had Whyte out of there a lot earlier considering how open Whyte was. Defence from both men was awful.
But what you're saying doesn't make sense. He has bad stamina, but looked better in rounds 4,5,6,7 than in 2,3 ? :lol1:
But yeah, whatever you say.
It clearly makes sense. He was blowing out his arse in Round 3, got a second wind and was lucky enough to be less tired that Whyte who's stamina was even worse.
Both clearly have terrible stamina.
This would be a great fight. Although I'm not sure if Stiverne is past it after the bombs that were triggered on his head by Wilder.
On topic, Joshua just seems like a tank to me, that's all, he's not impressive boxing skills wise.
Then you need to watch more boxing. His counter punching is excellent.
Ok mate :lol1: Whatever you say.
He got a second wind....after looking visibly exhausted in Round 3 :lol1: I wonder if he has bad stamina.

So he got second wind but his stamina is a joke? Honestly, that makes no sense.
In the second he got pounded to the body and was visibly shaken. As he regrouped, he got back together.
People want his stamina to be bad so they can say his frame doesn't fit boxing. I'm not saying his stamina is great, but it wasn't shown up in this fight.

lol not a chance at all.
You are severely underrestimating DW.
Jennings fights nothing like DW and doesn't have his mean streak or his power.
Maybe, Jennings is underrated.
We'll see how he does against Ortiz
Oh would you look at that, you're from Manchester hmm
Don't take my criticism personal, I get you're patriotic, it's all good.
I'm simply stating my opinion, that many of the top 10 guys would surely knock his ass out. Joshua is a big stiff overrated sac of meat with glass waiting to be shattered. The first time someone threw back against him (whyte) the first time he almost got KO'd :lol1:
He's David Price #2 gentlemen
I can guarantee you that Price wouldn't have survived that fight.
So no, he's not David Price.
