I've heard lots of people say that Canelo losing to Floyd made him a better fighter.
What other loses do you think improved a fighter?
Lennox Lewis became a better fight after the McCall defeat. He hired a world class trainer and lost habits he had from the amateurs.
If you're going back in the day, Joe Louis learnt a lot from the first Schmeling fight.
I'd also mention Barrera who I believe became a better boxer after his defeats to Junior Jones.
Pacquiao vs Morales 1
A more varied offense using the right hand a lot more
Algieri vs Pac
Obviously he never had a chance. But he became more offensive and applies more constant pressure under Jackson. Still, his chin is suspect
Bernard Hopkins after his first pro fight
De la Hoya vs Trinidad
I think this is where he switched to Floyd sr. Also everyone knows he didn't nessesarly lose the fight. He was robbed
PAC-Morales
Floyd-Mosley (in the sense that Floyd started running more and utilizing pocket space and stopped going face to face)
didn't run against Ortiz, didn't run against Canelo, didn't run against Cotto.
Try again.
Poster boy for this is Canelo. He used to hesitate but the loss to Mayweather taught him to have a sense of urgency, which is the only reason he beat Lara.

I wouldn't call what he did agaisnt Ortiz and Cotto "running"
