I think it's Alvarez. Biggest potential wild card is Andrade, who seems to have ridiculous talent but has kind of screwed himself lately. It's hard to know based on is competition just how good he is. He may be good enough to beat Golovkin.
I would like to see them all. In boxing you never know and GGG has yet to fight top shelf talent so who knows if he will destroy them as so many think.
I don't think any of them are a big enough threat to him in order to put them at the front of the pack. If Lara was a bit more sturdy, I would say him but I can only envision him getting folded.
This right here.
Their aint a challenge for him at either weight and mentioning 154 is laughable, even more absurd than the 155 League created by Canelo.
If he is to genuinely challenge himself he should do so at 168 I understand his and his teams reservations but he can't be considered great until he has challenged himself and actually fought a live dog opponent not completely wrote off before the gloves are laced.
I enjoy watching GGG fight but I switched off interest wise well before the Geale fight when I realised the guy does not belong at this weight and should clearly be campaigning at 168. I don't see how this scenario is any different to that of the 160 JCCJ coming in like a cruiser weight only GGG has fearsome boxing skills and does not need to rely solely on his size to overcome his opposition when his skills fail him like JCCJ's did when he faced his first live dog in Martinez.
Of course this presents us with the argument some of his opponents have in fact weighed more than him and some have even missed weight themselves but the fact remains he is still a far more superior boxer to these dudes he is facing and is far more skilled than anyone with maybe the exception of Lara whom can't take a solid did at 154 let alone a guy clearly belonging a weight above 160.
Lara is the best option off of the list but it would not be competitive when GGG caught up with him around 4-5 rounds in, another glorified mismatch in the waiting just like the ppv Lemiuex fight, I'll take a pass on the GGG fights until he moves up to 168 and challenges the contenders and title holders.
Well none of them are a threat genius a fly would probably be more of a threat than that entire list
There is always a threat in boxing. Unfortunately you're too stupid to understand that

If we are talking if they fought next. Canelo is the most competitive imo. If we are talking in the next year or so, I would go with Andrade, assuming he gets active and fights some good competition. Also as to your comparison of Canelo to GGG. They are almost nothing alike imo.

Lara..Jacobs..Eubank jr..imo can make it difficult for GGG..all have good boxing skills n some power..can make adjustments..still don't see any of em going 12 Rd vs GGG...Canelo is a easy fight for 3G. .Canelo is nothing but a name..a $fight...1dimensional fighter with overrated power..lacks uses of a jab..he's a stationary target for 3G..Canelo will get da same treatment Chávez jr got once he moved up..Canelo has a chin fighting smaller guy at 154 n 155 just like Chávez jr chin at 160..only difference in Canelo/Chávez jr is that Canelo has decent hand speed(vs stationary targets ) n better work ethic...Canelo nothing but a name created by GB. .only way Canelo beats 3G is if some how he makes it tru da fight n gets a robbery decision..only threat to beat 3G is at 168 or above..y'all all know his name.
when will u turdboys learn that canelo is the real deal??? i mean i kno most of u dobut him mostly because floyd toyed with him,so giving him props means ur giving TBE props which is something u try so hard to avoid, but damn
canelo is a middleweight and he beats ggg, quillin, jacobs, lameiuxe, and all those other random ass boxrec opponents ggg has foguht
Stop name-calling you alt troll. I didn't call you anything.
I doubt Canelo because he has never fought at 160, and has made heavy weather of almost every legit opponent he has had (Trout, Lara, Mayweather, Cotto), Canelo could easily have 3 losses and a draw on his record if he wasn't well-connected and people wouldn't be speaking of him in the way they do.
But he's supposed to step up and go the distance with Golovkin...I'll believe it when I see it.
I don't see that. Lara has a better style to beat Gennady. Better feet and a strong left hand.
this is a common misconception about lara. not sure why he's got this air about him. acutally, i do. it's a backlash against the establishements in boxing, this lara fanboyism. he's an underdog, and people in bscene identify with underdogs, and resent the successful fighters.
the most similar style he fought was angulo. lara was on the ropes and eating body shots against a guy who is slower, has a worse chin than golovkin, less pwoerful, and has no jab. what's he going ot do againt the best jab in boxing, and bigger punches, and a better chin, and a bigger man? and long arms, too. golovkin is strong middleweight.
if he were at his best, i'd give the best shot to mayweather. he's the only great on that list, and the only guy who might have enough to deal with golovkin for 12 rounds and score enouhg points. the rest of those guys would take a beating, and lara is right up there with him.
i think you'd need to go back a few years for him to be able to pull it off, but there's no doubt he'd make a fight of it.
you guys have to realize that lara cannot fight any other way than the way he fought against angulo. he picked spots in teh middle of the ring and had success, but he'd immediately run to the ropes. you're not going to take a career amateur and teach him how to fight professionally from the middle of the ring, or fight inside, or hold a strong guy like golovkin when he does not want to stop punching.
lara vs angulo unfolded the only way lara could have fought. that's horrible, horrible news if you're fighting gennady golovkin.
Canelo. Not sure why people dismiss him. He's not gonna KO Golovkin, but his technical skills are excellent and his counter punching would be enough to win rounds.
Agreed. I will add, that Canelo would not go the distance. down by body shot 9th rd

u better keep that train of thought when the figtht comes up.....im copping a sig bet with u......
canelo smashes lil g
If Canelo will fight him, he doesn't seem as vocal about wanting that fight as he was with Cotto that worries me.
