Did you think this was fought at a high technical level? How about in terms of action and excitement -- do you feel it stacks up compared to some of the classic heavyweight battles of the past?
It was awful to watch and definitely one of those that scares casuals / potential new boxing fans off from the sport. But I dont know, I expected bit more even though I dont care at all about heavyweights. But man.. That wasn't fun.
Lack of talent, no real boxing skills void of a true fighters willingness......
...it was a bore. The only intrigue was if Fury could keep gaining points to not get screwed. Other than that both are limited and when you throw less than 100 punches over 12 rounds thats pathetic.
Ray
It was exciting when it become apparent that Wlad was not going to have things his own way.
But if it was just two generic boxers fighting, than no, it was pretty boring
The fight didn't have much action until that last few rounds when Fury was landing some good shots, and Wlad started to open up during the last round which was too little, too late though.
Wasn't a good fight, but the result was memorable and the fact Fury was ahead and closing in on a victory over a dominant heavyweight champion who has been on top for almost 10 years still had me at the edge of my seat.
Probably the most exciting non-entertaining fight I've seen.
It was a Wlad fight, that's all you should need to know.
Exactly :lol1:
Typical Wlad fight and performance.
We should just all hope he retires gracefully so the younger guys can go at it.
It's impossible for Klitschko to be in a great fight!! He holds way too much. It's pathetic. He's so big and strong too but fights like a little b1tch. I don't even like Fury but I'm glad he busted him up late the way he did. Wlad fights like a coward.

It was a poor fight. The lack of punches landed by both fighters is incredibly ugly reading.
The event itself though was hilarious though. The handwrap argument before the fight, Rod Stewart, that cringy 'POWER OF JESUS' CGI promo, the masked anthem singer, Fury actually winning, the post fight Aerosmith...I was laughing throughout.
Yeah, what was the deal with that masked singer? The Dark Tenor or something like that. :lol1:
That was weird. Like something out of one of those parties in Eyes Wide Shut.

I watched it live in a sports bar and thought it was an extremely tense, edge of your seat kind of fight, but then I thought the same about Haye vs Valuev and Haye vs Klitschko. In hindsight it's not a fight that I'll come back to time and again since knowing the outcome robs it of any uncertainty. At the time there was the danger that Wlad could land something big on Fury whenever he dropped his hands which heightened the anxiety level for me.
Fury was quite sloppy however, which I put down partly to nerves, and in him being unable to really get comfortable throwing multiple shots against a physical mauler like Wlad. As anyone who's watched the Chisora and Hammer fights knows, Fury can box beautifully when given the right kind of opponent. Wlad was just too awkward and cagey to really box like that.
It was not an entertaining fight. Neither was impressive, Fury fought cautiously like Mayweather, Wladimir wasn't willing to really go for it until round 12. Neither threw enough.
But in a way, it was fought on a high technical level.
:lol1: :lol1:
Was kinda of a shit fight, honestly.
But with Furys giant personality and likability, plus the dethroning of a decade long reigning champion, it balances out as far as a event, in my opinion.
It was a fantastic spectacle and a brilliant result. If you want to know what Fury thinks about wilder, skip to 17mins 30seconds:
hey I'm not saying Wilder could actually beat fury but for the sake of boring big men dominating boring smaller men by fighting negatively.I'm just praying for a new era,Heck I'd be happy if Joshua became champ and faced the same opposition as Wlad has and smoked then in a couple rounds at least people would be able to say "i think joshua would give ali a run for his money" because of the brutal bum destroying
Wlad even met with the poor competition has not shown enough to rank him with the greats
he never ever had a plan b when things weren't going his way,too one dimensional
Do you think he can stay focused and disciplined to reach his ultimate potential?
Absolutely. He has the tools and the potential, and he is more intelligent than he comes off as, he embraces the persona and understands that boxing is both a business and entertainment, but he is also a true fighter, and loves the sport and the bloodshed. The sky is the limit, immortality is his for the taking.
this,Fury is going to bore us in the future I hope for the division to start banging a bit that fury beats wlad in the rematch and then Wilder ko's Fury in brutal fashion..get rid of these boring big guys
then make way for Joshua and there we go we have 90's style heavyweight fights where they take more risks
