I got actual numbers for both PPVs from non-HBO and non-UFC sources.
HBO was saying Canelo-Cotto did 900,000 starting on Saturday night - but no numbers are available on Saturday night.
HBO PR people are out in full force.
I don't care if anyone believes me...people should be skeptical...but when people say I'm full of s**t then I have to respond because I know that my sources at DirecTV are giving me accurate info, just as they have in the past.
You're right...there is a big difference between me and Dan...Dan has a publicly established track record for repeatedly being wrong. I, on the other hand, do not.
All we have to do is wait for the official HBO press release so I can be proven wrong.
Bro any updates from your sources ?
One thing is for sure, Rousey lost her fight and thus her PPV numbers have peaked. She will likely never reach those viewership figures ever again.
While Canelo won his fight and thus can expect to get even more viewers for his next PPV.
One is trending upwards and has a bright future while the other has to rebuild but might not be able to regain what was lost.
Canelo will be trying to rebuild after GGG gets his hands on him.
Lol the OP is so full of **** its funny. I mean I dont really care how many buys this fight got, all I know is this guy made a thread out of rectum derived statistics.
I have a source that has predicted the accuracy of the thread starter:

Just browsing at this guys posting history for 3 mins you can tell he is a goldenboy hater / pbc nuthugger, so take his info with a grain of salt.
Rousey's numbers do seem kind of spot on, considering the hype for her match was about the same as the last one, it feels bigger only because Ronda got beat.

Dude, he isn't always wrong and we know him. Seriously, you are utterly anonymous and as such you should realize you're going to get a lot of flack for pronouncements without proof regardless of your sources. Maybe they're solid as granite, but without a way of substantiating that you look a little loony bro....
Rafael isn't always right, I'll give you that, but we can see his face and he has a reputation that can be accessed through the internet. While you on the other hand, are anonymous, faceless and apparently obtuse enough to believe people will take your word for it just because you say so. Do you not understand how what you're saying is different than a known boxing journalist?
It's all about the source dude, and you have nothing to enhance your words except your birthday suit, sorry but that's isn't enough.....

Right...because Rafael has "corroborating evidence"...the always-credible, unimpeachable "anonymous source."
Rafael couldn't have gotten corroborating evidence, because as of Monday morning, NO EVIDENCE EXISTS.
His anonymous source had to be either the promoters or HBO, neither of which can be relied upon for accurate, truthful info.

Dude, coming to this site without backup or corroborating evidence is like walking into a whorehouse without a condom. You're practically inhaling VD before you walk in the doors of those places.....
My prediction is that HBO will not make any official announcement of 900K, because corporations aren't allowed to misrepresent financial info...so instead they will try to get gullible writers to quote them as "anonymous sources" without a shred of fact-checking.
Unless HBO announces 900K, I won't believe it.
Just like a lot of people didn't believe Showtime's numbers when they didn't do an official release.

Really? If you look closely, UFC's announcement didn't say "U.S." or "domestic" PPV buys...
If you don't think a big UFC fight - one of the biggest in recent memory - can generate 250K PPV buys outside N. America, then you don't know jack about PPV.
My sources are telling me you are full sh1t. They would only get those sort of numbers when GSP fought, and he was a homegrown hero for those buying.
No #CottoCanelo PPV figs yet. Will be few days but based on early satellite numbers, source involved told me it's a lock to do at least 900k— Dan Rafael (@danrafaelespn) November 23, 2015

I guarantee the rematch between Ronda-Holm will do more than the 1 million than UFC 193 just did. Dana White will market the hell out of it just in case that's the last drop he can squeeze out of Ronda.
If Ronda loses the rematch then yeah, her PPV numbers will start to drop.
Both numbers are wrong UFC 193 broke 1 million. Cotto-Canelo did more than 550k easily, 900k would surprise me but Canelo is going to break that 1 Mil mark soon (with him as the A side)
