You would have thought Lampley was a Canelo cheerleader last night. Don't get me wrong, Alvarez won imo but Lampley and the rest of the crew made it seem like the fight was a whitewash. Furthermore, they practically only showed replays of the work Canelo did. It was pathetic, exercise some some objectivity.
Roy's a company man too. You would be too if they were paying you hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Anyway, fight was close and HBO did themselves out of a rematch.
He's never been that bad though.
Lampley was his usual idiotic self, but Roy Jones? I've never been more disappointed in him.
WTF was up with him? I've never heard so biased.
Roy's a company man too. You would be too if they were paying you hundreds of thousands of dollars to lean a certain way.
Anyway, fight was close and HBO did themselves out of a rematch making it seem wide.
The guys I watched fight with said same thing you are about lampley. I just can tune him out but from what I've been reading a lot of people agree with you.

Why only Lampley, Roy jones as in on it too, Kellerman was the only one trying to be fair.
Roy and Lampley were praising shots by Canelo that didnt even land.

the HBO propaganda machine is very effective and they've figured out they can be as transparent as they want to be and such a small percentage of fans will notice what they're doing that it doesn't matter.
but for fans that aren't living in the matrix, the commentary is absolutely laughable. we had a very close fight last night that myself and many others scored 115-113 in canelo's favor. yet the announcers and judges paint the picture of absolute dominance on canelo's part. it's ridiculous.
It's gotten to the point that I can barely listen to them anymore. It's sickening.
Lampley is a hall of famer but he's lost some on his fastball and the whole crew couldn't call a fight objectively to save their lives.
Regardless of whether or not Canelo was going to have favorable public perception that he won the fight he was going to be announced the winner. For Lampley and the HBO propaganda machine it's just another night on the job.
