Why are you guys so insecure? Not everyone has to like Gennady Golovkin.
Personally, I don't have anything against him and think he's a pretty good fighter but here are reasons I'm not a fan:
1) He's the most boring fighter in boxing. I don't find his fights entertaining. They just aren't interesting to me because the opponents are so sh1t, you know what's going to happen beforehand.
2) He hasn't beaten anyone anywhere near elite level. As mentioned, his opposition level is terrible for a guy who is so hyped and highly rated.
3) He gets unwarranted praise that should be reserved for other boxers. There are fighters out there with better resumes and skills yet don't get anywhere near the same level of attention.
4) Cherry picking opponents that will make him look good. He is marketed as a beast but his fans and handlers don't seem to have nearly as much confidence in him. They'd rather he stayed at 160 for the rest of his career feasting on over-matched and favourable opponents.
5) The false hype and myth building. They try to shove him down your throat. Putting a mismatch against a crappy opponent like David Lemiuex on PPV. Trying to sell it as such a 50/50 war that you can't miss. Looks like most people didn't bite thankfully.
Why do Golovkin fans try so hard to make you like him? Are they really that insecure? Surely if he's the real deal, you wouldn't have to force him down people's throats....when you have to try so hard to get people to agree with you, deep down you know there's something wrong yourself.
Are Golovkin fans trying to convince us or convince themselves?

Another thread about golovkin? Come on dirk,I know you're a huge fan,and like talking about him,but give it a rest for today.
I like GGG, my only beef with his fans is they act like the guy has been fighting and beating killers. The eye test can't be it, you have to fight and beat better fighters. Perfect opportunity would of been to move up and fight Ward, but we know his team wanted no parts of that. I mean you have to dare to be great. Say what you want but Lara wants to fight the best, he's angling to move up just to chase GGG.
Beating Cotto or Canelo isn't really gonna do anything but put cash in his pocket, and that fight doesn't even seem like it's gonna happen with either.

/ thread...
this is getting hilarious, one thread has an almost instantaneously asnwer thread
- If GGG is so great how come he has only defeated 1 world champion?
then:
- If Lara is so great, how come he has only beat one champion?
lol
the same goes for this thread.
