145lbs will kill Khan if this is true. He looked badly drained and overtrained against Algieri. In that case it may have been just that...being at the weight too early and overtraining, but even that fight was at 147. What we do know for sure is when Khan struggles at a weight or making weight, his punch resistance takes a nose dive much more than most fighters. Historically it is what has always happened to him, and I have no doubts that he will BADLY struggle to make 145lbs at this stage of his career. If this was the tipping point to get the deal done Khan should have walked away. He would be better off taking another fight to set up the brook fight, which will probably pay him just as much if not more, and a more winnable fight in my opinion. Khan can't really afford another knockout loss, even if it is to Manny Pacquiao, I think at this stage there would be no way back for him.

Khan said no catchweights under 147 and I think he is making a big mistake if he goes back on his word. He's a full fledged welter now those 2 lbs would hurt. Pac's the A Side....it's his way or no way Roach knows Khan was struggling at 140...so from a strategic point of view it makes sense to drain Khan and make him slower and weaker but yes it is pathetic when both guys fight at 147
