Carl Froch
Froch has not fought since May 2014
Former world champion Carl Froch has said he would considering returning to the ring next spring for a one-fight to reclaim his title.
Froch, 38, who announced his retirement in July, has been training every day and predicted he would beat IBF super-middleweight champion James DeGale, 29.
He said: "Get my old belt back, show them all how it's done and then retire.
"There'd be something satisfying about that. I'd beat DeGale, it's an easy job for me and he's world champion."
Froch is a four-time world super-middleweight champion who won 33 of his 35 fights, 24 victories by knockout.
But the Nottingham boxer has not fought since he knocked out fellow Briton George Groves to retain the WBA and IBF titles in May 2014.

How reluctant boxer Froch became The Cobra
In May, DeGale beat Andre Dirrell on points to claim the vacant IBF super-middleweight belt and become the first Briton to win a professional world title and an Olympic gold.
Froch said if DeGale beats Romanian-born former IBF super-middleweight champion Lucian Bute in December that would give him motivation to return.
"I always said once I've retired, I won't come back, but 18 months on from my last fight, I'm starting to think to myself 'I'm fit, strong, in good shape'," said Froch.
"But it's a big if. I might just stick with poker. The desire's gone, it's getting the desire back. What would I need? It might be DeGale beating Bute
Looks like he isn't even considering mega ppv superstar giggi. Degale vs Froch makes much more money
You sound like you need some love in your life, bro. Hope you make it through Christmas. I will light a candle and pray for you.
There's no lack of love in my life bro, your mom visits every Friday night. I appreciate the thought though.
Well that's not my only source of joy in the sport of boxing. I also love watching Canadians get beat up, so the Golovkin fight was great. I also really enjoy hearing Teddy Atlas yell nonsensical things at his fighters, so my levels of joy have been pretty high recently. And soon I'll get to watch Fury get completely demolished by Wlad so that will be nice too. Just in time for Christmas.

Nothing against Froch personally I just dislike British fighters in general. 99% of them are overhyped trash. Their dumb fans hype them up to be much more than what they really are, and I enjoy watching dumb British fans get proven wrong.
How do you feel about Frampton bro he looks like the real deal
You haven't had much joy recently then since the last couple that have come over have left with belts

Froch gotta be careful...
He will have had at least a year off if he fights again, and his last 2 fights he was being outboxed and hurt by george groves.. I think froch is ripe for the picking if he fights a Golovkin, Ward, or another world class caliber fighter.

Fight Golovkin
maybe chavez jr if he beats badou jack for a belt..
Ward 2 in Nottingham
Degale for a belt
Challenge Kovolev or stevenson for light heavy belt
Those are the only fights I wanna see froch in... Pick one and I would be happy
Dude you got so owned, and you don't even realize it yourself. Perfect case of a guy who's too stupid to realize how dumb everyone else thinks he is.
It doesn't concern me what a bunch of retarded dweebs on a boxing forum think about me.
I don't enjoy watching fights where I think the outcome is obvious.
What exactly did Froch do for you to be menstruating over him like that?

I don't think he beats degale to be honest. Degale is a superior boxer
If it's the same Froch as before, I think he beats DeGale more comfortably than he beat Groves.
It's all about styles and I believe DeGale plays right into Froch's style and strengths. Good fight for around 6 rounds, then Froch takes over on his way to a late stoppage.
Love the fight. If Froch were to win, one my favorite fighters gets to ride off into the sunset with another sclap. If DeGale wins, a guy I'm high on solidifies himself as a top notch fighter. Win/win in my book.
I'm torn.
Would love to see Carl have another fight, the man is a true fighter and fights the best.
However, he's almost 40 and has been inactive for a while now. Would hate to see him return and not be the same. Plus, laying Groves out cold as a final punch will be impossible to top.
I hope he comes back and fights a bum just to piss off the horrible Golovkin fans. And when Golovkin suddenly abandons unification to chase the fight again, they'll suddenly change their tune, too.
Giggi is the A side now terms have changed
Holy sh1t wall of text not reading that crap. Froch sucks get over it.

Isn't GGG a big fight also? Maybe not as big as an in-house fight, but fir me me would have more recognition. If you beat the "boogeyman" that places you at the top, isn't?
No boxer stays retired unless they have to. Even cyclops margarito is finding a way back
The allure of fame and power must be one hell of a drug....that and being broke.
If Froch feels he's hungry again and wants another big $ fight I'm down to watch it whether Degeale or GGG.
Can anyone here in the UK tell me which one would be a bigger fight between Froch & Degeale / GGG
DeGale got higher ratings fighting bums in leisure centres than GGG did fighting Murray in world title fight.
Brits are always more likely to be interested in a world title fight between two Brits than an unknown foreign fighter.
The average person in the UK has absolutely no idea who Gennady Golovkin is.
