The United States still had troops in Iraq. Do people really think he is going to suddenly fight three times in one year? And do you really think he will fight that third fight against a beast who has been fighting multiple times a year? 29 fights in six years, stop being silly guys. Ward is in no shape to fight three times a year and really is not up to par with a guy who averaged nearly 5 fights a year.
Be real with yourselves. Ward has been avoiding top competition for quite awhile now. Fighting a third time in 12 months against a monster with Ko power in both hands who can box and bully with the best of them is not what Ward is trying to do.
how many andre ward threads u gonna make tho???sure seems like alot for someone u hate.
Why is b-rad even in my threads when he has me on ignore is a better question?
I like Ward but right he is irrelevant. He didnt fight top competition for awhile. Until he get back in the mix he shouldnt be a P4P fighter. If he fight Kovalev soon I can only respect that.
The GGG-Ward talk should just stop. Ward is "fighting'' at 175 right now so lets forget it. Ward-Kov is the fight id like to see.
It pretty much has from people who are actual boxing fans and are looking forward to Ward-Kovalev.
Team GGG tapped out so you can only say "fair enough" and move on. They're happy playing in the minor leagues.
Golovtards can't seem to let go of it though. They were desperately trying to fob Ward off onto Kovalev and now they got their wish, they don't want that fight to happen either for some reason.
Just a weird fanbase. I don't think I've ever experienced anything like it.
ward has to have everything in his favor in order to fight. that is crystal clear by now. he wouldn't join the super six unless he had every fight in the usa meanwhile froch had to fight in 4 countries. hmmm very fair indeed. this guy just won't fight unless he knows he can rig everything in his favor. i really don't know why he has fans. are you really impressed by that holding crap? he even did that sh-it in the Olympics when he was beat up and got a gift.
his whole career was built off of corruption on an unequal playing field. get the gold medal through corruption/usa influence, market ward as olympic champ which gets him leverage in the pros to rig super six in his favor, win super six and get a 2 million guarantee per fight, fight a lot of bums and collect that dough! it almost worked but luckily the fine people at hbo stopped his evil plan. unfotunately roc nation came along to rescue him but by now i'm sure they realize they were duped and got a droopy dud. they are probably more pissed than anyone. wait this unpopular guy can't draw at all, won't fight anyone good, and wants 2 million for a bunch of easy fights? uh why did we sign him? ............ward does the trollface

I expected more of you than to play ignorant like the goobs that blindly attack Ward as a means of defending Golovkin. It's fine that you don't like his style, but I know you're smarter than what you posted there. I say that out of respect.
why are you bringing up ggg? did i mention him? no. stop deflecting. everything i said was the truth. you didn't dispute any of it because you can't. you are playing ignorant by saying ward is seeking challenges and you know his intentions. look at his record the past 4 years. his intentions are clear. don't give me the good fighters:bute, stevenson, froch , give me the bums: truax, sartison, dunn, periban, brand and give me that big money(2 million) or i won't fight. how is that a challenge? you think its noble to rest on your laurels for 4 years? you think its noble to earn 2 million dollars for crap fights while avoiding the best in your division? you can't dispute these facts so you will keep playing blind man.
do you live on planet earth? seeking a great challenge? this is the guy that ducked everyone the last 4 years. this is the guy that tried to fight truax, sartison, zac dunn, etc..and hbo threw his ass out. this is the guy that just tried to fight alexander brand and wants 3 tune ups before maybe fighting kovalev. his intentions are noble? seems like hes trying to get that 2 million dollars per fight by fighting bums. that's not seeking a challenge.

Depends. He might be injury prone now. I'm not the type to pretend anyone is infallible. This recent injury is a bad sign, but Andre proved me wrong every time I doubted him so I'll wait and see what happens. I know what his intentions are and they are noble, so let's see if he can get it done. Heckling a guy who is out seeking a great challenge is sad.

This is pretty much it. I'm not writing Ward off, but you have to be at least a little curious about his moves the last few years. 1 good win over a solid, top 5 in a division fighter and I will assume he's back. But you can't help but wonder if something major is going on.
I agree with what you said. Actions speak louder than words. Ward makes a big deal out of challenging GGG when GGG already has a contracted fight with Lemieux and an important fight ahead with the winner of Canelo-Cotto. So does Ward fight one of the 168 pound champions? No. Ward moves to 175 and tries to get unranked 168 pounders to fight him at 175. I don't believe he will ever fight either Stevenson or Kovalev. It doesn't fit his cherry picking ways of the last few years. If he was really going to fight Stevenson or Kovalev I believe he would just do it in a timely manner. He has been a pro 11 years and he doesn't need practice fights to fight champion 175 pounders. They fight just like 168 pounders with a few more pounds. I will believe Ward is fighting the two best 175 pounders when he signs the contract to fight either of them.
So you really think a guy who last fought more than once, in 2011, is going to fight three times with one being against the very best at 175?

its funny how that works huh, I wonder why Erik morales wasnt p4p top 3 when he had a better resume then 99% of boxers even though he best win was like 4 years away like ward is?
Are you comparing Ward to that version of Morales really ..How old was Morales when did he turn pro ?
You've made more threads about Andre Ward being "irrelevant" in the last week than the amount of fights Andre Ward has had in the last 4 years.
:lol1: :lol1:
Waits to fight Manny after 5 years, catch weighted Canelo. No, they weren't top competition.
Yet he was older than both and schooled them with ease. :lol1:
he clinches constantly in some of his fights. i guess there's skill in getting away with cheating.
his resume was good during the super six but the last 4 years it has been abysmal.
integrity? he has none. at all. the super six was a farce. froch fought in 4 countries. ward in 1. he wouldn't join unless he got special treatment. he then ducked all the best after the super six, tried to fight a series of bums, and wants 2 million dollars to fight bums. you talking about integrity?
Ward in a nutshell
Can't discredit his skills, resume, or integrity so the hate brigade will nibble at anything they can get a hold of. Watch your nuts gentlemen, these little dogs be bitin!

He announced that he would fight twice a year for 3 years and most laughed it off.
Pac and Canelo weren't top competition?

Can't discredit his skills, his resume is pretty good but highly over rated by some, but the guy is becoming a bit of a joke. That said...there isn't anyone around that weight that I'd confidently pick to beat an active ward. To maintain his pfp status he needs to be active against top opposition.
