Will Prichard Colon Family Petition Change Much?

As some of you know the Prichard Colon official Facebook page has started a petition to terminate the ringside physician, referee, and Virginia state athletic commission director from working on any future boxing event. The letter also states that the athletic commission director David Holland had thought Colon was using "stalling tactics" when he complained about the repeated rabbit-punches during his match with Terrel Williams. The letter seems to suggest that Williams rabbit punches were deliberate especially with his previous reputation. After Williams was hit by a low-blow he did in fact do a slit-throat gesture and pointed to Colon. Unfortunately, Colon after brain surgery and having breathing tubes removed has failed to regain consciousness. The petition may get some of the above mentioned people removed, but will it change much? I remember how crazy Ricky Hatton fans got when Mayweather was hit with repeated rabbit shots by Hatton and referee Joe Cortez took a point away. Perhaps this incident may give some indication how dangerous these blows are. Remember, your brain tissue isn't located in your jaw,nose, or chin, but most of it is located on top or back of your head.
