But why? When has Ward ever U-turned during negotiations? Would HBO leave any loopholes in the contract that would allow Ward to sidestep the Kovalev agreement? .... You might genuinely be questioning his honesty and fair play but some of the posts here reek of "God please don't let this fight happen so I can go back to boxingscene and rub it in Dirk's, SugarRay's faces and anyone who laughed at 97k" Ward u-turned when he asked Sauerland for an offer for a Kessler return. He got the offer then just refused it because it was in Denmark. He didnt give a return offer.

You'll notice the cycle will follow this pattern. Before the fight is signed: "Ward will never fight Kovalev because he's a scared coward!" After the fight is signed: "Ward will headbutt Kovalev and use his crooked referee to his advantage. Kovalev will knock Ward out in a fair fight!" After the fight is over: "That was so boring. Ward is such a boring coward. He'll never fight Golovkin!" That was the exact pattern and script used on Mayweather in the final chapter of his career....Came back and dominated everyone they said he wouldn't fight, was scared of then made excuses after he beat them....Cotto, Pacquaio, Mosley, and Canelo

LOL....Little G fans need to make their minds up. For weeks they were desperate for Ward to leave Little G the poor bullied victim alone and go fight Kovalev. Now that the Kovalev fight is on the horizon, they don't seem to want that to happen either. :lol1: Why would any real boxing fan want two of the best fights that can be made in the sport NOT to happen? :thinking: You really have to start asking yourself questions about these guys' motives for following the sport. Yeah, because these anti-GGG fans aren't doing anything differently. Christ, you all (both sides) are so annoying already. you're confusing floyd mayweather / black panther party fans. ward fans are boxing fans. we like andre ward because he's one of the very best boxers on the planet. we like kovalev and we like golvokin, too. they're great fighters with knockout power and skills. i want ward to fight kovalev at 175 and wherever the fight will generate the most money. i want ward to fight golovkin at 168 lbs, but if a catchweight can be reached and ward is healthy at the weight i'm not going to cry. i don't crap on prospective opponents. that's the rhetoric of somebody who is afraid. i'm not afraid for andre ward :lol1:. he is a grown man and an undefeated pro boxer. he can handle himself.

Curious to see how many of Ward detractors will start backtracking, denying and deflecting once it's official. Freedom will already have his excuses lined up before the fight about clinching, referees etc. Remember he is also Wladimir Klitschko's biggest fan :lol1:

GGG fans are actually cancer in this thread lol. Some of the posts here are shocking, like really some of you are so desperate for the Ward-Kovalev fight not to happen. But why? ........ I would even cut you guys some slack if you hopped on Kovalev's bandwagon and prayed he knocked Ward out but instead you're just wishing against the fight happening so you can win arguments. You guys aren't boxing fans at all, just lame cancerous fan boys. The actual fight is not here yet but it's exactly the type of fight I stay up at 5am for, the best facing the best, not knowing who will win and having Goosebumps at the first bell. It may not be the most fan-friendly fight but personally I don't get much joy out of mismatches even if there is a knockout. That's just me. :boxing:
