People get all emotional when this subject comes up, especially GGG die hard fans
I like both fighters, different styles but the best in their divisions
He is a good fighter but his resume isn't amazing
He is easy to hit on the elite level, has good skills and good jab
If the fight was at 164-170 I just don't see GGG beating Ward
Ward is taller, longer reach, better on the inside, has a better jab, is probably physically stronger. The only thing GGG has on him is power and a growing fan base
IMO Ward clearly beat him because he can fight any where in the ring and he adapts mid fight better than anyone not named Mayweather.
I explained my case. Whats you guys position
I see you have a problem with reading comprehension again Ward is a Light Heavy why does he want to fight a Middleweight when you have Kovalev who's his own weight as I can see your one of those dumb dumb's
Using Kovalev as reason as to why this fight shouldn't happen is a complete ***** move, and you know it. You clearly think GGG will lose.
If Golovkin was willing to take on "anyone from 154 to 168" he wouldn't ask for a catch weight of 164 just for Ward.

GGGs performance against Lemieux was impressive. After that, I believe GGG has an even higher chance against Ward. He is a beast, not a foul clincher and cheat
Lemieux and Ward fight nothing alike.....Also Lemieux has one win over a top ten opponent
That fouler and clincher hasn't lost a fight since he started puberty so he must be doing something right
Its funny to me how on this forum say oh he is boring, oh he runs, he clinches when they don't like a fighters style
totally bashing their accomplishments but if its a fighter who they like, that has noticeably done less they don't bring up level of opposition
Newsflash whiners its the opponents job and his trainers job to eliminate things that he is good at or other tactics.....My trainer always told me if its working don't stop using it...You learn how to work out of clinch in the amatuers bro.....sounds like excuses to me.

GGG can't beat a healthy Ward. And I don't think it's fair for him to even have to fight Ward above 164. When GGG decides to go to 168, (and Ward doesn't have to be his 1st fight there), then we can talk.
TBH, Ward wants an easy fight and every fan of certain fighters who've fought at 160, or at 154 wants Ward to save their guy from GGG. But Ward needs to fight Kovalev in my eyes to return to the top of the pfp list and be considered the best current fighter.
OK I'll let you have that on ward.
He has only 3 fights in the past 3 years...let's assume he fell off even though he is 31, fixed his shoulder n has been in 0 wars, and stayed in shape year round
If we can assume that for ward.... we can also assume GGG isn't elite or p4p yet because he hasn't face the Comp to prove it...this year, 2011 or 34 fights in
Ward has 28 fights but his resume ****s on GGG
He is undoubtedly more proven on the A class level career vs career
No argument with that.
Not sure who would win.
Close fight, Ward was rolling a couple years ago, but ring rust and fighting top guys recently gives GGG a chance.
GGG is a force to be dealt with, he has power, speed and great technique. 154-160 no one beats him right now. Ward is best at 168, 175 only Kov could beat him.
Hopefully we get Canelo/ Cotto vs GGG instead. Ward can fight Kov.
People have said GGG hasn't done anything at middleweight yet, so wonder why people are asking GGG to fight Ward already? Let GGG fight winner of Canelo and Cotto first maybe?
And maybe GGG can think of fighting Ward, when they are p4p 1 and 2 respectively with GGG no1 and Ward no2. Maybe in 2 years time maybe.
But do people think Floyd can beat GGG at middleweight?
In 2011...it's nearly 2016 man. A lot of fighters had good wins back then.
You don't stay at the top by not fighting, not in rankings or physically.
Who knows how he matches up against the best of 168 today never mind 175, what I saw against a bloated Paul Smith at 172 didn't look that clever.
Let's see him against someone in the top 5 of a division before we talk of the old Ward.

Until someone proves otherwise.....duh....because he proved it, and is still undefeated
GGG hasn't yet on that level...its not that complex to decipher bro

What makes you think Ward is still on that level? People assume he is for some reason, there's a lot of blind faith placed in him, the ultimate fantasy fight guy now.
Anyhow, on the fight...Ward would start out trying to box on the backfoot and get hunted down. Then he'd try to clinch, hold and work the inside against Golovkin.
It doesn't really matter, because I don't think we see either of them again at 168lbs.

That's what im talking about a true breakdown
To be fair GGG hasn't lost Many rounds or been in a close fight because he hasn't fought any elite or near p4p guys yet....He hasn't even fought the other top middleweights yet like Lee, Quillen though I'd def favor him over them.
He has not faced any one on the level of Ward, Froch, or Kessler to truly access his talent....he is a beast though

The Ward fans are the ones that get emotional about this fight. Us GGG fans are calm and confident in GGG's fighting skills. I think GGG would knock Ward out. Ward has a 71 inch reach while GGG has a 70 inch reach so reach is not a factor. GGG has the better jab. Ward has been knocked down and hurt while GGG has never even been hurt or staggered in his whole career. GGG has great boxing ability that is overshadowed by his amazing KO record. GGG can box with Ward at long range. Ward is a converted southpaw with a great left and a mediocre right. GGG is deadly with both hands. Ward is no big puncher and has nothing to threaten the iron jawed GGG with. GGG has the power to knock Ward out. At close range GGG knocks opponents out with body blows. Ward can't do that. I think GGG can give up 8 pounds to Ward and knock him out or win a ud. Ward is a skilled boxer but so is GGG. GGG almost never even loses a round and has never been in a close fight.

How about just answer the damn question and explain you position, why do you kids on this forum make so much out of another persons post or opinion?
Sorry if you did not understand my opinion. And sorry if you did not want other people to post his own opinion of your statements.
Back to topic, I did responded your question in my post. So I don't know why you ask me to do it.
But I will make it clearer for you.
Yes GGG, could bea Ward, based solely on his discipline and his ability to adjust mid fight.
I repeat i think footwork in this fight will be key. And I just want this fight to happen, so we stop with this ducking from both sides.
And I'm not a kid and my opinion may bother you but it wasn't offensive.
Greetings.
