I saw this post..........
Amir Khan wouldn't even be one of Floyd's 15 best wins. FOH
I asked and he didn't respond so I'm curious on what 15 guys would be better than Khan?
He's won 3 fights at WW. Ring put him at #3 just like they put Ward so high on the P4P.
But anyways I'm done.
I'm not ignoring anything. We're just going in circles now.
He's still beat zero Top 10 WW's. His ranking at 147 is unwarranted.
And if you're using rankings to support your argument then Ortiz and Guererro was #2 at WW when Floyd fought them.
Anyway Khan might have been in Floyd's top 15 wins but he definitely wouldn't be Top 10.
And Khan is there off reputation and his accomplishments at 140. How can you be in the top 10 when you beat no one in the top 10 since you moved up?

There is actual footage proving my point, as well as everyone else's point that you continue to ignore.

Corrales

Castillo
Famoso
Chavez
Zab
Oscar
Hatton
Shane
Cotto
Maidana
Maidana
Canelo
Manny
Marquez
Khan maybe is better than the early 2000s versions of famoso or chavez..
Current khan is not better than 2014 maidana
Hell of a list! Gatti just missed it?
Damn good list
I disagree. I think Khan is a better fighter than a lot of boxers out there that get more praise. Especially some on Floyd's resume.

I'm talking about who people thought won. Many people thought Floyd lost that fight. I will always give Floyd his props though for having the rematch with Castillo right away.
Khan is still a top WW.
Berto wasn't even rated a top 10 WW when he fought Floyd. :lol1:
.

If Khan went on to beat Maidana, lets say he fights Peterson and wins. Then wins vs Danny Garcia. Goes on to fight everybody else on his resume and wins, as well as beats lets throw in Bradley too, without struggling, then a Khan win would be one of the best on his resume without question.
So how would a guy who is clearly regressing, be anything other than just a name on Floyd's already impressive record?
I don't care whether you think his resume is great or not, fact of the matter is, if Mayweather were to beat Khan at this point, it arguably wouldn't be in his Top 15 win.

1. castillo is 10x better than past prime diaz and algieri.....stupid idiotic comparison.
2. floyd actually re-matched castillo and beat him more convincingly. when was the last time khan ever avenged his close fights or defeats? how about zero times!!!
3. marquez beat the best ww not named floyd at ww, if thats not proving yourself at ww nothing will.
4. overrating khan's ww resume won't change the fact that jmm is more proven at ww.

Lol. You know it's bad when they have to convince somebody that Julio Diaz is a good 147 win.
A Khan win today at 147 is a notch above Berto. It would be cherry pick for an easy payday, IMO.
Berto wasn't even rated a top 10 WW when he fought Floyd. :lol1:

Convince? Shit I knew once I made the thread, you guys were going to find ways to make Floyd's resume seem like it's so great. So great that someone like Khan can't seem to be a top 15 win.

Convincing Floyd stans about something non boosting with Floyd is like convincing a lazy person to give up the food stamps.
Easily!
Marquez didn't prove himself at WW.
Floyd lost to Castillo if you want to play that game. That same Diaz also gave Porter problems. Porter is a top 10 WW currently.

Really? You haven't been able to convince anyone and Kev already exposed how flawed your logic is.

Khan would obviously count as a Top 15 win, shoot yourself in the knee if you're stupid enough to not think so.
Easily!
Until he does something at ww, a Khan win doesn't mean ****.....at least Marquez went on and proved himself at ww.....Khan hasn't done ****.
Marquez didn't prove himself at WW.
What guys did he beat? He arguably lost to al-freaking-gieri and got his ass knocked all over the ring by a past prime Diaz. Beat Alexander who is his only solid win. Marquez' win against pacquiao ****s all over Khan's entire ww resume.

15 wins...
Corrales
Hernandez
De La Hoya
Pacquiao
Castillo 2x
Marquez
Cotto
Canelo
Maidana 2z
Hatton
Mosley
Chavez
Gatti
Easy. I have a few more in mind but this list is a little more bulletproof.
A win over this version of 147 Khan is slightly better than Berto and slightly worse than Guerrero. With Khan you have a guy that:
-Best 147 win is Devon Alexander who clearly is not the same fighter anymore
-Was dropped and barely slipped by Julio Diaz
-Struggled and arguably lost to Chris Algeiri
That's Berto level opposition that Khan has struggled with at 147.
If Khan beat Peterson and Floyd fought him next, it would be a notable win without question. But this version of 147 Khan as of 10/17/15 has clearly regressed as a fighter and is nothing more than a name.
It may be me, but I hold absolutely zero merit for that KO in the sense that the weight at which it mattered didn't matter anymore.
Would LaMotta k0ing Robinson at 168 cement him at 168? It wouldn't, it would simply cement him as a great fighter that stopped Robinson regardless of the weight class simply due to the fact that when you're that deep into a rivalry. Four fights, five fights, the weight doesn't serve any relevance anymore.
And btw, the Bradley fight was not competitive. Clear win for Timothy.
Yeah, you fall in the very small minority, there was a certain group that ran with that stupidity and we all know who they were fans of.
At the stage Floyd fought him, Canelo's best win was Trout and he had won his title off the light welter Matty Hatton. Noway would that be better than beating Khan, who has Maidana, Kotelnik, Judah, Malignaggi, Alexander and possibly Peterson on his win column.
Maidana was a substitute for Khan lol so that's a massive no.
In terms of the numbers you listed, Khan would likely be a top 15, so why are you arguing with the TS?
It's more about what has Khan done lately, what has he done in his perspective division 147, how has he looked? Squeezing by Julio Diaz and Algieri doesn't cut it. It's an ugly look to get walked down by a fighter who not only does NOT fight that way but can't punch.
Looking at all that I struggle to see how he gets on that list. Canelo is a far better fighter than Khan, don't even get me started on that.
In order? That's difficult to do. I know he wouldn't be one of Mayweather's top 12 wins for sure.
Corrales
Castillo
Pacquiao
Genaro Hernandez
Jesus Chavez
Oscar De La Hoya
Canelo
Cotto
Marquez
Hatton
Mosley
Maidana
Next 3 is where I'd struggle and Khan being a better win than the last three? Very debatable.
Edit: Just to add, this is off the top of my head so I might have missed some.

Marquez "proved" himself @ WW?
He was never a WW to begin with. Only fought there because of PPV or belt. Dude could make 135 if he laid off the roids rn.
One big win In a division doesn't prove you. Jones wasn't a HW. Cotto isn't a MW. Pacquiao wasn't a LMW.
Khan is a legit WW because he's beaten four guys there so far. Are they world beaters? Not superbly, but he's proven himself at WW.
What guys did he beat? He arguably lost to al-freaking-gieri and got his ass knocked all over the ring by a past prime Diaz. Beat Alexander who is his only solid win. Marquez' win against pacquiao ****s all over Khan's entire ww resume.

He ko'ed pacquiao and he a competitive fight with Bradley despite the loss ......how the **** is that not proving himself? That is 10× more than Khan has ever done at ww.
