I don't want this to turn into some snobby history lesson. Just post/discuss some of your favorite middleweight championship fights over the years. Whether you were alive to witness it, or caught it on YouTube. My favorites include:
The Obvious Choice:

And one of the final great performances of a legend:

And then of course, you have this classic banger:
What are some of your favorites?
Marinez v Williams 1 and 2 and Martinez v Pavlik should be up there and for the shock value, Cotto v Martinez.
Give em all a watch if you havent already.
Hagler vs. Mugabi. Surprised this hasn't been mentioned yet.
Love, love this fight. Classic case of veteran champion taking a young hungry contender into deep waters and drowning him.
All of these are awesome! Great thread, getting super pumped now.
One of my favourites because of it's unexpected nature would have to be Martinez Williams and it's sequel. Christmas specials!
Duran vs Barkley. One i've rewatched often down the years :

barkley was a big, strong dude. seeing duran taking his gas and hurting him at f#cking middlweight is a sight to see.
pavlik - taylor was a classic.
i still think pavlik - miranda, which was an eliminator for a shot at the lineal title that JT held, was the better fight. scary, scary damage taken by both guys. holy f#ck did miranda get beat up at the end of that fight. smoger needs to learn to pull the trigger on a stoppage quicker than that.
Or Arthur Abraham/Edison Miranda where he fought with a broken jaw.
