I do believed if Floyd fought on the outside he would’ve won it far easily albeit boring. He didn’t stick and move. He baited cotto on the ropes and in the process cotto was succesfful in most rounds. Cotto was right in there every round, eventhough Floyd was the clear winner 8-4.
Cotto hit Floyd’s head and snap them back a lot of times in the fight. Who else have done that? Who else made him bleed a lot to the nose?
That was one of the most vulnerable Floyd I’ve seen and thought it’ll be downhill from there. But obviously was wrong.
That's Floyd, if he got on his bike and boxed ahla JMM he is nearly untouchable, he likes to fight sometimes and people don't give him credit for it, Maidana is a perfect example of Floyd willing to rumble and then Floyd the surgeon, those are facets of his persona got nothing to to do with PEDs or any other BS, its just him.
I got no idea what you looking at, Cotto was very strong that fight Floyd fought a great fight as did Cotto, when top guys turn up on the night its competitive.
Cotto has never been physically stronger than in that fight, Floyd does that to his opponents because they got nothing to lose but huge amounts to gain by taking his scalp, and they know he is not a big puncher so they all come super motivated to beat him.

Cotto, he contemplated on retirement after that fight. He’s never been hit more by clean jabs. He was sloppy all night, but I do believe he made it an exciting fight rather than settling to potshot.
Curved overhand right was working but still he laid too much on the ropes.
You will actually suspect he’s on peds the following fights because of his improvements

I think it was Cotto. I'm watching the Cotto fight and Mayweather was getting his monkey ass hit, Cotto was making contact with Mayweather's body and head.
:damnit1:
:tool:
Cotto without a doubt.
Mayweather confirmed this.
That was before he fought Maidana, but yes Cotto was his toughest fight damage wise, but I want to hear what he says about Maidana
It was between Cotto and Maidana, but I have to say Maidana looked like he got to him more, After both those fights Floyd visibly looked like he was in a fight.
This. In both fights, Floyd looked like he was not enjoying himself, and his face showed it afterwards. The prime version of Floyd, even in the first Castillo fight, was totally unbothered, even when the going got rough.
Sugar Shane rocked him, but only briefly.

Floyd was toying with cotto by the end of the fight. Not so with Maidana.
Maidana 1, it was competitive the entire fight and really made floyd work hard.
I havent watched JLC 1 in a long time so cant compared that.
Cotto made his nose bleed but mayweather solved cotto and busted him up really bad by the end of the fight, clearly won and was in control at the end.
Mosley almost dropped him but that just that round.
Augustus was crazy, Mayweather beat the snot out of him but he just kept coming and coming. Augustus got some in too on floyd because he is so awkward and comes from weird angles, floyd was winning but it was hard work.
Remembering the agustus fight and watching that chavez clip, its no wonder mayweather had some hand problems the way he is landing so hard on these guys skulls but they kept coming.
Maidana, Chavez, Castillo, Cotto, Augustus....
Margarito would have put him in a coffin. Styles make fights.
I think you're right. Look what Cotto did to Floyd. There's no punch Floyd could land that would stop Margarito from running him down, Floyd would have to rely on angles and conditioning

I'd say Maidana. He bricked Floyd throughout the whole fight.
I can't speak for Floyd when he was younger. I know there was a fight where he went to war with a D-level guy.
Maidan a all the way! The nut cracker!
