No Bigger Coward in Boxing than Lamar "Kid Fire" Parks? Fought while HIV +

Remember him? I was watching YouTube and BloodBoxing dropped a video on him, Kid Fire was also one of my favorite fighters to watch. But when it was found out that he was HIV positive and infected several women including his fiancee who died of AIDS, and he lied to her about his disease, the guy became the biggest coward in boxing. HE had a friend dress up as him to give blood tests. He was supposed to fight Gerald McLellan but got popped for HIV. At the time Aids was mainly a gay and bisexual disease, Lamar was probably Bisexual on the low and not telling his woman he was banging other men without protection. i beleve they call it CIR or sometheng,,, onlly USADA offer that shizzzz,,,,,, for hiv u use a elisa test... its very basic test... im sure they use it when a fighter does a physical test.

HIV+ and aids are two different things. being HIV+ just means you contracted the virus, it doesn't mean it's developed into AIDs yet. Magic Johnson for example has been HIV+ for decades now, but it's never developed into the aids syndrome. it basically is the same... u have the virus... its called aids when ur t cell levels i believe go down to a certain number... once u hit that number it means that your immune system is not capable of fighting off anything anymore.

Well truth is it's nearly impossible to catch hiv from open wounds. Not saying it can't happen but fact is it's so rare there are less than 100 documented cases of it happening. Not saying fighter who have it should be allowed to fight. Just giving a bit of info and the such. Hiv is a very very very hard disease to catch. U have a higher chance of getting bitten by a shark for instance. Truth is tho that all depends on your lifestyle choices and the such. You can get HIV from boxing, and UFC, if both fighters are cut up and the HIV blood comes into contact with the other fighters wound. Kid Fire was an action fighter, if anyone ever watched him this guy always made sure to KO his opponent or beat them down and didn't hold, now I know why he was always throwing punches he didn't want to get cut. But he was on that ****tail they had for hiv patients, which included moderate dose of testosterone to prevent muscle deterioration that is probably what also gave him the energy and power he had in fights. Magic Johns takes testosterone as well. What he did to his fiancee who died was wrong.

how is park still with HIV and not AIDS? but the person he gave it too already passed with AIDS? Wouldent he be long dead and gone by now. Anyways I remeber poonswangag also tested positive and retired but he actually has a rare blood disease and not HIV but it will trigger the test to read positive, I believe if i remeber correctly. It was HIV that rare blood disease is HIV, he probably boned some Lady boys in Thailand or was bisexual himself.

Yeah, Poonsawat Kratingdanggym was about to fight Rigondeaux on the Donaire-Arce undercard and tested positive. His wife claimed he has a blood desease which would trigger the test positive, but that was never cleared up. Most probably he has hiv but decided to go with the 'strange blood disease' explanation. I think he hasn't fought since he tested positive.

It's always a possibility, that a fighter has HIV, Hepatitis etc. but most commissions require only one blood test a year.

Although Tommy still fought with HIV, he never knowingly knew he had it and hid it like Parks did, Tommy never knew he had it until he got tested positive an they pulled him. He was delusional and in denial though after the fact. Plus when he fought later on his opponent knew he had hiv and still fought him so its not the same as hiding your illness, you cant really feel sorry for his opponent because they were willing to fight Tommy. Tommy knew he had hiv, reason why he declined to take any more hiv tests to get his boxing license back. When he fought his mma fight his opponent was assured by the promoter Tommy did not have hiv. I know this because I spoke to his opponent, and told him to not take the fight, a week before the fight. It's also possible he knew Tommy had hiv and lied to me and everybody else warning him no to take the fight.
