Now I know Cuadras is a Televisa fighter and Estrada is Tv Azteca, but let's say this fight happens. Who would win the scrap?
Both fighters have good pop, Cuadras more so. Both can box or slug and both have good chins. I think Estrada edges it but that might be my bias toward Gallo talking. I think it's one of the best fights to be made at 115 once Estrada settles into the division. Plus, Estrada is more battle tested than Principe against world class opponents.
I've only seen a few of Estrada's fights but it was enough to convince me that he's a special kind of fighter. The way he adapts so quickly and yet so well, like a speed chess player. I think folks like Estrada have a special sort of "thoughtless intelligence." like how he's able to make smart, calculated decisions, but based on instinct rather than thought. I can’t wait for Gallo and Chocolatito to square off once again, hopefully next year on HBO.
Close fight I think Cuadras would be more prone to lay back stick n move get Estrada to be the aggressor just a quick guess Estrada is better overall imo so I'd say him could end up being a rubbermatch type scenario to see who's better
I misspoke with chin, more about his overall durability....I think no one has been able to put hands on him consistently the way I believe Estrada would...
Frankly I'm so grossed out by Cuadras' back that I struggle to watch his fights....
Exactly. I fully agree with you.
Your right I thought he had the silver belt but it's the full belt do you know when he's fighting again?
He just fought last month so I figure late this year? November or December I suppose.
Lmao at your last sentence. Idk man, I think Rungvisai and Concepcion were more than enough to test Cuadras' chin. So in my book, I think his chin is rather solid.
However, neither man was talented enough to get past Cuadras' footwork in order to effectively land combinations, and I think that's something Estrada can do. Offensively speaking both Estrada and Cuadras are rather similar, I just think Estrada's experience against world class talents is what edges him the win.

I chose Estrada becasue he has better punching tecnique, and is more tested, but I also worry about the way he paces himself.....wastes too much time...maybe he's having a hard time making the weight.....
Cuadras has better footwork and could outwork him from outside, but his chin hasn't been tested...I think Estrada would get to him with his offensive skills eventually.....as I'm typing that, I'm doubting my pick, lol... But I refuse to pick Cuadras because his backne is puke inducing.....

You fear that a Monster like Inoue would seriously hurt Estrada.
I don't fear sh#t, lol. I have had plenty of my favorite fighters win their fights, as well as lose some and I'm still loyal and will continue watching them for the rest of their careers. Inoue is a talented young man but he is not unbeatable. Let's be honest here, Estrada has so much more experience than Naoya and isn't either a limited fighter, nor a vet on his way out.
I got Estrada via UD, just to irk you a bit.
I think Inoue is getting a hair overrated. Real nice 2014 campaign but Narvaez was hanging by a thread. Impressive by style points but he needs to be active (injuries suck). He's still had less than ten pro fights. I think he needs 3-4 at least more before you start tossing him in with seasoned, prime guys like Estrada and Gonzalez. I'm not sure Cuadras is quite that level and think Inoue-Cuadras might be a good direction to go with the right promotional connections to make it happen. I don't want to see if Inoue is another Davey Moore or David Reid case of too much too soon. Let's see it when we KNOW it's ready on both sides.
Completely agree with your points. I would give anything to watch a fight between Naoya and Cuadras, another potentially great match up at 115, and a unification fight.
Honestly too soon bro. Let it marinate a little more I'm high on cuadras and I wait until he gets a title shot
Cuadras is the WBC champion after beating Srisaket Sor Rungvisai last year. Plus, Estrada would need a match or two in order to adjust to 115 for a career run, so I suppose it would marinate long enough.

Not at all, fact is I think it's a toss up fight. Why would I fear for Estrada? He has taken losses before and has had sub par performances, he's far from perfect but he's also my favorite fighter. I don't mind him losing, fact of the matter is that you're not on topic. Not even near it by any sense.

Every time I mention Inoue, you fear for Estrada.

The thread has no mention of Naoya. Remain on topic please.
I think so too, Run. Cuadras is a good combination puncher, but Estrada knows how to move and can counter effectively. I think it would be a great fiht.
Likewise.
Cuadras can be hurt, and Estrada has power. I think Estrada would win via UD but it won't be easy. Especially since Estrada tends to take a few rounds off here and there. It would be a legitimate chess match.

I'm on tablet but I'm sure someone here can do is that favor. Carlos Cuadras vs Rungvisai and Concepcion are good matches to see his skill and how he deals with adversity. Check them out, unless someone can provide us with vids.
I'll check them out, at work now but when I get home I will.
I'd go with Estrada right now, but that would definitely be one of the biggest fights I would look forward to seeing in 2016. Both of them are excellent and I think Estrada is just a bit more well rounded and would win a close decision 7-5, 8-4.
Can you post some links of his fights? Cuadras that is.
Damn Mehicaans

Inoue beats both

It could happen I heard this interview today where Estrada said he might move up to look for better opponents if the Chocolatito fight is not materialized.I will go with Estrada for the youth and experience UD -- cant say KO yet until I see how he handles the weight.

I'm a big Cuadras fan but Estrada's just an all around better fighter.
I say Estrada wins a tough but clear UD.
Likewise.
That would be a hell of a fight. Both guys throw beautiful combinations and are very well polished offensively. Defensively I would give Estrada the edge.
You would have to make Estrada the favorite, but Cuadras is the bigger puncher though.
