ANTHONY JOSHUA hopes his quick work could see him get a shot at world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko after two more wins.
The 25-year-old has steamrolled his way to 14 straight knockouts in the paid ranks since winning gold at the 2012 Olympics and turning professional a year later.
Scotsman Gary Cornish became Joshua's fifth first round victim when he was floored twice in a 97-second demolition for the Commonwealth title at the O2 Arena on Saturday.

Everyone's on his nuts and will be until he fights someone who can fight back. David Price was in practically the same position, everyone raving, until he fought someone decent. Fortunately for AJ there's not that many decent heavyweights but I can see the hype train coming of the rails long before he gets to Klitschko, if he's even still fighting by then.
Yeah ok lol....and who is the heavyweight to derail Anthony Joshua.....it certainly ain't wilder......it ain't arreola.....it ain't Shannon Briggs and it's not Jennings or fury.......klitschko will be the only fighter around in a years time to give this possibly a few problems but even he has said Joshua is the future of the division ...I doubt if klitschko would not want face him now talk about in a years time.."we will talk in a years time
I really like Joshua but it is crazy talking about Klitschko with the level of comeptiton he has faced and not going past 3 rounds - that will be premature.
After fighting Whyte get him 5 fights next year with decent opponents build him for Klitschko not throw him in the Lions den get him to fight opponents that will test his stamina in the later rounds and then taller guys to prepare for Klitschko otherwise it will all end in tears. Maybe opponents like - yes Teper for he has decent power and is tough, Arreola to build his American reputation a good idea to take that fight in the States, Chisora to take him a few rounds then someone like Wach or Helinius who are tall and one or two more fights then lets see what his performances are like. Don't rush him his young he has time. In New Zealand they are not rushing Parker giving him rounds and preparing him for a world title fight they should do the same for Joshua.
i rekon teper wont go down, perhaps the others went down or have known chin issues thats why they were picked.
AJ's opponents were picked because they have no power of their own to get AJ's respect. He just walks through them like they're not even there, even Cornish has pillow hands. He'll have to alter his style to fight someone who can punch. He won't be able to just wade in and start throwing hands..
Whether one deems Joshua's Olympic gold success to be controversial or otherwise, it cannot be argued that he's done everything that's been asked of him thus far as a pro, without any real case for criticism, I would have thought. He's 14-0-0(14) and as much as I'd like to see him in with a Teper, Thompson, Chagaev or someone of similar ilk, which would be the next logical step up, it's fair to say he's progressing at a reasonable rate. His Next foe is unbeaten Dillian Whyte, who mightn't look on the face of it as though he's the heir apparent in terms of the skill set he's exhibited thus far but he is unbeaten, he is ambitious and he does look as though he has some firepower, which might answer some questions about AJ's whiskers in the process. By direct comparison, in their 15th fights respectively, Vlad faced 4-13-1 Ladislav Husarik, Riddick Bowe fought 6-9-1 Robert Colay and Lennox Lewis poleaxed 40 year old, former Beltholder Mike Weaver. Granted, there are more ingredients to the debate than whom fought whom at this stage of their careers but if we are to judge AJ fairly then surely this is as valid a point to raise as any other. If Deontay Wilder can defend his strap against the likes of Molina and Teper victim Duhaupas with in excess of 30 fights under his belt then AJ's resume is more than acceptable. It isn't AJ's fault either that Kevin Johnson didn't show the resistance he had versus Vitali, Fury, Chisora, Charr et al (perhaps something to do with AJ's venomous hitting and ability?) . I could say the same for a few other former opponents but there's no need as the point is clear. AJ's rise is more than satisfactory from my perspective.

Yeah. I've seen Whyte sparring a lot at Miguel's, he is very decent but nothing above that Danny Williams / Sprott / Skelton level at their peaks... I don't see him going past the 3rd round in with Joshua.
yeah its a debate whether he could even beat chisora? its easy to get sucked in when theyre beating literally part timers with no ambition. With aj though, I think his old problems will come back if he has to go past six rounds I can see him throwing those arm punches and his technique going.
not sure with whyte his punches look too slow and he's going to get ko'd surely. When he throws the right hand he is over commiting, his inside hooks look slappy, he's number 15 for the ko roster surely. next.

olympic gold lol. biggest farce ever. bashed to pieces in 2 fights and he still "wins" the gold. hometown cooking so they could start the hype train rolling once he turned pro
Yeah, thank you for that as well.I had it with carrots, cabbage and turnip.
I just cant beleive these guys are going down off one hook, yeah i can see aj throws nice short punches but I wouldnt have thought thered be too much weight behind them and these guys are crumbling.
Going down....lololololol.It doesn't "look" much really does it?And Teper will also fold if Joshua fights him. That's even if Teper accepts the fight. What is Joshua's height,6ft8-9? What does Joshua weigh,16/17 stone?
That may not look much but this heavyweight is athletic and rips through his punches when he throws them, not to mention the speed they are also coming at you. Not like your casual/modern day heavyweight who pittypats and comes in looking like he's just won the South Jersey all you can eat competition.
