Tonight was quite possibly the last fight ever of Floyd Mayweather Jr.
A great fighter and arguably the 2nd greatest fighter of this era.
As they are similar in age and career length, this serves as a reminder that Manny Pacquiao's career too will soon come to an end.
Time for us to appreciate and honor Pacquiao's greatness as HIS era soon comes to a close.
I rank him #1 after the victory againts Pacquiao. But that is in question now because of the possible 'illegal' activity.
kudos to Floyd the #2 Fighter of this generation. mid 90's t0 mid 2010's
And also you have to factor in which fights were made to be competitive and ended up being utter and complete destructive performances.
Pac vs Ledwaba, Pac vs Dela Hoya, Pac vs Cotto, Pac vs Margarito, Pac vs Sasakul, Pac vs Morales 2 and 3, Pac vs Barrera, Pac vs Mosely etc etc etc
People don't remember boxers that run around and hug and box eg. Willie Pep and Pernell Whitaker. These boxers never achieve true greatness.
Dude, with all due respect Pernell and Willie will alwaysbe remembered for their greatness. Now trust me I can't stand Floyd either but at least Willie and Pernell weren't afraid to engage when need be and put the pedal on it when the odds were stacked against them.
To not call Willie and Whitaker great is insult. Not everyone is Tito Trinidad or a killer Mike Tyson.
anyone know which of pac's fights received FOTY considerations or honorable mentions?
pac-jmm 4 won foty, i think pac-jmm 1 and 2 were foty candidates.
pac-morales 1-3 were foty candidates.
pac-barrera 1, pac-cotto?

HAHAHAHAAAAAAAAA Yessssssss lad. That's the true right there Floyd is a fraud. Disgraceful boring steroid rat con-artist that has ruined boxing and turned everyone into god damn *******.
Pac is the king.
Guaranteed he would not.
Garcia and Brook beat him. I'm not sure about Crawford.
The May/Pac era is over, Floyd knew when to hang em up, I hope Manny does too.
If he keeps fighting he'll get knocked out again within his next three fights.
Manny is shot, happens to the very best of them.
Garcia would certainly NOT beat him. Brook is a very tough fight for him and I'm surprised Koncz and Arum have suggested he was someone they are looking at. Bad style matchup, and isn't exactly a guarantee in the ratings department either. I'd respect team Pac if they took a ballsy shot like that.
It's over Pac fans. Wave the white flag. TMT raped your soul.
That spot is reserved for Marquez coming back from eating left after left to put Pac to sleep. My butt has never fully healed from that. In comparison, May/Pac was a relatively minor disappointment.
they will show their kids episodes of 24-7 and All Access to describe his greatness
then they will show the fights to help the kids go to sleep
:haha::haha:

pacquiao will truly be missed. he has given us all a lot of great fights.
there will never be another manny in a long time. but guys like ggg, lomachenko, roman gonzalez will help keep boxing exciting when manny is gone.
he only had 1 fight of the year
but i think he had like 10 foty candidates.
Agreed...give it 4-5yrs and see how they talk about each fighter
what fights will ppl rewatch of mayweather's?
he has no pac-jmm1,2,3,4 or pac-morales 1,2,3 or pac-barrera 1 or pac-hatton.
Say what you will and have a side of hate salad with my post but Pacquiao will be missed more than Mayweather seven fold when he retires.
And I will bet Mayweather's money that I will never have that Manny's last fight will be a thriller compared to Floyd's failed Reading Rainbow episode we just witnessed.
What about his fans after all the hypocritical sht Floyd's done to make idiots out of them?
I believe Mak had a list.
meh who cares about that?
all i care about is entertaining fights.
as a pac fan, i'll take a pac-jmm 4 L over a pac-clottey win anyday.
Big respect for both, Mayweather and Pacquiao. Prime Pacquiao was a devastating offensive striker, giving us very, very exciting fights, great knockouts and helped a lot of people with donating a lot of money
Mayweather is the best boxer in this era. Great career, while I wasn't that entertained always, I always admired his talent and skills which were amazing
They both will be remembered for a long time
Hmm?
you want pacs last fight to be a ud over say jessie vargas?
pac getting ktfo or quitting on his stool vs say canelo or something.
that matches him.
the only floyd rape victims are ppl who watch his fights.

i don't wanna see pac retire in a meaningless win.
